Yesterday, as part of the Nintendo Direct in which we saw a whole bunch of games confirmed for Xbox, one of the big absentees was Capcom Fighting Collection 2, which again was announced for pretty much everything except Xbox.

It's no surprise, really - the Marvel Vs. Capcom Fighting Collection also suffered the same fate recently, with reports going on to suggest that Capcom's old MT Framework engine was essentially to blame. That said, according to Windows Central editor Jez Corden, Microsoft is "working" on bringing at least the new collection to Xbox:

In terms of what's included in this new package, the big highlight for many is the two Power Stone games from the SEGA Dreamcast era, while there's also the likes of Street Fighter Alpha 3 UPPER, Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro and Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001. Yep, we definitely want this on Xbox!

Here's hoping Microsoft can find a way to bring Capcom Fighting Collection 2 to Xbox by the time it releases in 2025, as surely it'd sell plenty of copies on the platform! We'll obviously let you know if anything gets announced about this.
