Today's Gamescom Opening Night Live main show kicked off with an announcement for Borderlands 4 from Gearbox Software, which will be coming to Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S (along with other platforms) in 2025.
Details remain limited for now, but here's a bit more information on the game ahead of next year's release:
"In this next installment of the definitive looter shooter, players will assume the role of a legendary Vault Hunter as they blast their way through hordes of enemies in search of new treasures to loot on an all-new planet."

Loved borderlands 2 and the pre sequel hopefully this one is more like them does anyone know if tiny Tinas game is worth a go?
Im a bit disappointed they aren’t making something new and more interesting
The Presequel pretty much killed all my enthusiasm to Borderlands to the point I've not even played 3 yet. Maybe 4 will have some enthralling reason for me to snag it.
More of the same I expect...burnt out onit
Should've called it 4derlands. Losers.
Kind of a boring reveal but still exciting to see it comes next year. The gearbox tease from last week pretty much made this reveal redundant.
I haven't enjoyed a Borderlands (or Assassin's Creed) since the first one. It was better with -98% of what they think is funny.
@Ricky-Spanish If you played the Assault on Dragon Keep DLC for Borderlands 2 Tiny Tina's is pretty much more of that but with a bit more fantasy elements to it especially when it comes to the classes you play.
