7 Days to Die finally brought its updated console version to Xbox Series X and S last month, and the game seems to be doing rather well for the developer so far. In and amongst the game's free trial going live on Xbox, the team says that its open world zombie title "continues to break records" across all platforms.
In a new post on social media, the 7 Days to Die team has broken down its top concurrent players on each platform - the top numbers at the time of posting anyway. Xbox has hit 70k concurrent players since the Series X and S launch, which is an impressive number for the title!
Of course, that free trial we mentioned is likely bumping up these numbers for each platform - and it's available now for folks who want to try out all of the new features available in this new current-gen version of 7 Days to Die.
And, if you then go on to crave the full thing, it'll set you back $45 at launch - unless you already own the previous Xbox One version of the title. Existing owners can claim a 25% discount on the new version of 7 Days to Die, although that's only valid for 30 days from release. Aspiring zombie slayers, you have a few more weeks to take advantage of this release window discount!
Have you had a chance to try this free trial yet? Tell us your thoughts on the new version of the game down below.

If the 1.0 version was free for existing users, then I'd care. It's not. So I don't. Nickle and dime me, you lost a customer for life.
The lack of local multiplayer is a disappointment and there are a handful of in-game mechanics that were changed for the worse, but overall it's a major upgrade over the previous version in most ways. It should be stressed that enough in-game mechanics have been changed to make this a very different game from the original and I suspect some people won't like that.
I bought the new 1.0 version and am loving it. If you enjoyed Grounded or The Long Dark you will certainly enjoy it. I’m just coming up to 28 days and have come to the conclusion that it’s better to have a separate base for the Blood Moon nights - I don’t want my nice home base getting trashed!
I gave the trial a go and I think there is a good game in there somewhere. However I am not really interested enough to pay full price and spend the time to find it.
Special mention to the UI it's awful to the point it makes any Bethesda UI look good.
It might be one I would look at in the future if it gets a hefty discount and I find myself with the time to put into it.
