We've got a massive Xbox release on the way next month in the form of Ubisoft's Star Wars Outlaws, and the good news is that's now officially "gone gold" ahead of its release for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on August 30th.
Essentially, this means that the base game is now finished and ready to be pressed to disc, although Ubisoft will likely continue to work on a day one patch over the next few weeks. Still, the main work is done!
If you're interested, pre-orders are already live for Star Wars Outlaws on the Xbox Store, with the Standard Edition starting at £69.99 / $69.99. It's also worth noting that the Ultimate Edition of the game is set to be available with Ubisoft Plus Premium (which we assume includes the Xbox version), providing three days' worth of early access.
Let's cross our fingers that this Star Wars experience lives up to the hype when it arrives in late August!

Can't wait for this! This game and Jedi Fallen Order/Survivor are the reason I watched all the movies for the first time.
If it's good, I might grab. I did read somewhere that first impressions were a little lacking.
Let’s hope it’s in a stable condition and no bugs.
Also what visual modes do we have.
I hoping for a 60fps performance mode.
This could be a buy later after patches etc if current releases are anything to go by.
Hoping this turns out well, and that Ubisoft follow there usual pattern of reducing the cost of the game a month or so after its initial release, because there is no way I am paying their ludicrous asking price for the top edition. Voting with my wallet on this one. Once it is a lot cheaper, and if the reviews are good enough, then I'll buy it...
@Fiendish-Beaver Truth! It's impossible to play everything that comes out. Developers have to earn my money outside Game Pass.

The idea of going gold makes no sense, we can already expect a day one patch following several others before the game is in good shape and playable condition.
I'll see what the reviews of this are like, but will likely play it when it comes down to half price as most Ubisoft games do not long after launch.
I thought this already came out and bombed (due to ridiculous DLC).
