It's been rumoured for a while now that Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 might be coming to Xbox Game Pass in July, and today it's been confirmed by Microsoft that it will arrive for console and PC on Wednesday, July 24th.
Specifically, it'll be available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and Windows PC users, but there doesn't appear to be a version for Xbox Cloud Gaming. Here's part of the announcement courtesy of Xbox Wire:
"Get ready to lock in and load(out) as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III makes its way to Game Pass for Console, PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate starting July 24! Featuring a high-octane single player campaign, energetic multiplayer and the series’ first open world Zombies experience, this game offers something for every type of CoD player."
This marks the first time that Call of Duty has been made available on Xbox Game Pass, and you're getting the full suite of features here - including the somewhat controversial campaign, Zombies and all the popular multiplayer modes.
In our review of Call of Duty: MW3 last year, we gave it a "Not Bad" 6/10 rating in which we praised it as "another solid entry" for multiplayer fans, but suggested that it might be worth waiting for on Game Pass. Well, that time has arrived!
