Update: The College Football 25 free trial is now live on Xbox! Follow the instructions below to download it.
Original story: It's been a long time coming, but EA Sports College Football 25 is almost here! The EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate free trial is going live for the NCAA game this week, allowing subscribers to check out 10 hours of College Football 25 across all of its modes.
The official release date for the College Football 25 free trial is Tuesday, July 16th. That said, College Football 25's early access looks set to begin on the 15th at 1pm PT / 4pm ET / 9pm BST for Deluxe Edition purchasers, so it remains to be seen whether the free trial will appear at that time as well. Officially though, the plan is the 16th.
Here's a quick look at how to download the free College Football 25 trial (when early access begins):
- Search for "EA Sports College Football 25" on the Xbox Store
- Look for a button that says "Free trial with EA Play" or something along those lines
- Download the trial, and then you should be able to start playing!
If you're reading this before early access has begun, you can pre-install College Football 25 by using the Xbox app for Android and iOS. Link your console, search for the game on the app, and then hit the "Download to Console" button.
If you haven't been keeping up, College Football 25 marks the first game of its kind since NCAA Football 14 back in the Xbox 360 days. This new entry is promising "authentic, fast-paced, college football gameplay" complete with a wide range of modes and unique presentation elements that are specific to the college experience.
If you end up really liking the College Football 25 trial, the standard edition release is set for this Friday, July 19th, while the aforementioned Deluxe Edition launches later today. There's also a special MVP Bundle that grants access to the Deluxe Editions for both College Football 25 and Madden NFL 25 if you're interested.
