EA Is Delisting The Remaining Xbox 360 Battlefield Games & DLC

EA and developer DICE have announced that the last remaining Xbox 360 Battlefield games, and their respective DLC packs, will be delisted on July 31st - ahead of their servers going down in November 2024.

As part of a "sunsetting announcement" on social media, DICE has detailed the end of Xbox 360 era Battlefield. The 360 and PS3 versions of Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline will be removed from digital storefronts at the end of the month - along with all of their respective DLC packs.

Now, this isn't particularly huge news for Battlefield 4 and Hardline - these games were always going to be delisted as part of the wider Xbox 360 store closure, and they both have native Xbox One versions that will remain purchasable. But, the backwards compatible Battlefield 3 will be gone for good - and when all three are delisted there will be no more Xbox 360 era Battlefield games available digitally.

As we mentioned up at the top, the online server closures for these three games are already planned for November 7th, 2024, so you wouldn't be able to play these games online after that date anyway. However, all three have single-player campaigns, which will now only be purchasable digitally until July 31 (or July 29 in the case of BF4 and Hardline, when the 360 store goes down).

Battlefield 3 is a part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play at the time of writing, and the team hasn't specified whether the game will depart the service alongside its general store delisting. We'll be keeping an eye out for those July 31st Xbox Game Pass leavers for more information on that.
