Last week, Capcom gave us the surprise reveal of Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, and the company has gone more in-depth on the game today, confirming that it will be coming to Xbox Series X and S on September 19th, 2024.
According to Capcom, the work that's gone into Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster could almost make it a "remake", with the game featuring much-improved graphics at up to 4K and 60FPS, multiple quality-of-life improvements in regards to the gameplay and UI, an auto-save feature, and various other enhancements.
"The all-time classic "Dead Rising" is being brought back to life and beyond in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster with 4K high fidelity graphics, 3D audio support, voiceover in nine different languages, an auto-save feature, and various quality of life changes for improved playability!"
You can get an in-depth look at these Dead Rising improvements in the Capcom Next video down below (it's timestamped for the Dead Rising section), and the official announcement trailer is at the top of the article.

Would need a timer-less mode to even consider it.
Whats with that new voice actor for frank west. It's just a remaster, why change the voice? Original voice sounds way better.
This is so freaking fast. Literally barely two months away. Capcom blessing us.
I would drive around under the mall murdering a ton of zombies that way in the original lots of fun. I hope they did a pass on the controls though died plenty of times du to clunkiness.
Looking forward to September to get the remaster. I loved the original, will be fun to jump back into this one!
Why frank so god damn ugly my god what a face 🤮
They done Frank DIRTY!
It does look like a really decent remaster, especially the environments and lighting but I honestly think the original still holds up well and since I already have the original I’ll just wait for this when it’s in a sale.
@user0 I agree, but an auto-save feature does help. I imagine they made it more accessible for the average gamer, which I personally like.
Absolutely loved the game originally but the control scheme left much to be desired. Played through it again a couple of years back but mapped out my own controls on the elite and it was an even better experience. Looking forward to this release.
Graphics still look bad
Capcom. Ideas. Bottom. Barrel. Scraped.
Does anyone know if this is getting a physical release on Xbox?
I know it is on PS5.
Is it me or does Frank look different? Admittedly a lot of these protagonists run together in my brain after a point but I really thought he looked different.
