Irradiated open world genre mashup Chernobylite has just gotten a major free update on Xbox Series X and S in the form of a 'Complete Edition' release. This new version of the 2021 Xbox title brings together the base game content and all of the seasonal bits and pieces that have released since.
The team says that players can now "enjoy the full experience of the game story, including all Seasons" - three of which were previously released, with Season 4 launching right alongside this Complete Edition.
Here's all the free content packed into Chernobylite Season 4:
"Experience new events on the map, with the creepy dolls taking centre stage. If their mere presence in the basic version of Chernobylite unsettled you, we dread to think what attractions they might have in store for you in the Zone…
Collect all the photos of Tatyana scattered around the Zone and unlock the possibility of watching VHS tapes with fairy tales in Igor's room. And not just any fairy tales – these are fairy tales based on Ukrainian folklore.
Try the brand-new game mode. Explore familiar locations without the stress and fear of being attacked. Collect notes and talk to scientists to learn more about the history and curiosities of Chernobyl and the events that took place almost 40 years ago."
Developer The Farm 51 says that this will be the final free update for Chernobylite, although future paid packs haven't been ruled out. In fact, Season 4 launches alongside its own premium DLC — the Black Smoke pack — which brings a bunch of new base camp decorations for players to make use of.
