It feels like ages since we started hearing about work on the next BioShock game, right? The 2K studio now at the helm, Cloud Chamber, was first unveiled to the public back in 2019 - and the team still appears to be heavily staffing up for 'BioShock 4'.
As spotted on the developer's website (thanks, VGC), Cloud Chamber is "recruiting like mad" for developers in both San Francisco and Quebec. Successful hires will be working on "the next entry in the critically acclaimed BioShock series".
Here's what the team is hoping to achieve with this project:
"Cloud Chamber is hard at work on the next entry in the critically acclaimed BioShock series. Our team consists of veteran BioShock developers and expert game makers from other mind-blowing titles, and together we’re going to create worlds that you’ll want to experience."
Way back in 2021, it was suggested that this next BioShock game could be open world - with job listings at the time hinting at such a move. Since then we've had no public confirmation on pretty much anything about BioShock 4, so the structure of the game is still a mystery at the time of writing.
What we have seen more on is Judas, the next game from the brains behind BioShock; Ken Levine. We're pretty excited about both of these games to be honest, we just hope that 2K lifts the curtain on BioShock 4 sooner rather than later!
