Cancel your Tuesday night plans, we've got a big free trial that's available on Xbox as of today!
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is now officially free to play for everyone on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S courtesy of a trial that lasts until July 28th, accessible via the game's official page on the Xbox Store.
The catch is that it limits you to five hours of game time, and potentially less if you reach Hometree in "The Aranahe Clan" main quest (which is also an end point). It's single-player only too, whereas the main game supports co-op.
Nevertheless, it's always great to see free trials land on Xbox, especially for big games like this! To access it, simply search for "Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora" on the Xbox Store, navigate to the game page, and then look for the button that says "Install Free Trial" or "Free Trial - Download Now". Be aware that you essentially have to download the entire game to access the trial, so you're looking at an install size of around 80-90GB. Better make room for it, then!
If you haven't been keeping up, here's a bit of info about Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora:
"Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora™ is a first-person, action-adventure game set in the never-before-seen Western Frontier of Pandora. Abducted by the human militaristic corporation known as the RDA, you, a Na’vi, were trained and molded to serve their purpose. Fifteen years later, you are free, but find yourself a stranger in your birthplace. Reconnect with your lost heritage, discover what it truly means to be Na’vi, and join other clans to protect Pandora from the RDA."
For those who have already bought Avatar on Xbox (or who are playing it with Ubisoft Plus), you'll be glad to know that the game's first DLC is out today, available for £11.99 / $14.99 on the Xbox Store and included as part of the Season Pass. This expansion is called "The Sky Breaker", and it's one of two planned Story Packs.
