Fancy some digital wilderness trucking on Xbox Series X|S? Well, Alaskan Road Truckers: Highway Edition might be your new best friend! Now live and making its console debut, this truck simulator has gotten off to a strong start on Xbox - with some great user reviews bolstering what looks like a solid launch for developer Road Studio.

This new console version of the 2023 simulator bundles together all of the game's previously-released DLC into the 'Highway Edition' package, and the whole thing sounds like a pretty good deal for Xbox users right now. Here's a bit more information about the game itself:

"Fill your thermos. Grab the snow chains. It’s time to haul some cargo. Alaskan Road Truckers: Highway Edition invites players on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 to drive, survive and thrive in some of the most challenging and thrilling conditions in the world to become a trucking legend.

Adding survival and management elements to the beloved driving simulation genre, Alaskan Road Truckers: Highway Edition tasks players with balancing personal and vehicular wellbeing. Stock up on supplies, perform emergency repairs and battle the elements to see if you have what it takes to make your mark across 260,000 square miles of game map and 6,000 miles of roadway, with 6 base trucks, 2 special trucks, 12 playable characters and 50+ truck cosmetics."

Now, we've made a point about this being a pretty good deal because — for now at least — the game is significantly cheaper on Xbox than PlayStation - about £15-or-so less here in the UK. We'll drop an Xbox Store link for Alaskan Road Truckers: Highway Edition down below, where you can also check out those impressive early user review scores.

If you're on the fence about picking this one up, you can check out some Xbox screenshots below as well - and the launch trailer is available at the top of this article.
