Gosh, it's been a while but State of Decay 3 is back! Yep, Xbox's open-world zombie sequel has re-emerged after almost four years of radio silence - and it's looking like development has come along nicely since.

Up above, we've got a brand-new look at the game from developer Undead Labs, who themselves have undergone some major changes over the last few years. They've got a brand new logo and a fresh mission statement, as the first-party team enters "a new era" over at Microsoft.

We're extremely excited about going hands-on with SOD3 after the first two games very-much surprised and delighted us back in the day! We don't have a date yet, but here's what State of Decay 3 is bringing to Xbox Game Pass when it launches:

"Set years after a zombie apocalypse nearly wiped out humankind, State of Decay 3 is the next evolution in the State of Decay franchise. As the zombie threat continues to claim lives, you must fight back and reclaim lost ground, carving out a life for your community of survivalist homesteaders."
