We've just had a really busy summer season of showcases (try and say that three times quickly!), and amidst all the amazing announcements, we saw reveals for a whole bunch of first-party Xbox games coming out in 2024 and beyond.
But what about Towerborne? This adventure game from the creators of The Banner Saga didn't make an appearance whatsoever at the Xbox Games Showcase, but it's definitely still scheduled for release at some point this year.
As you can see in the tweet above, the Towerborne team recently went into more detail on what to expect from the game's "forward operating base" known as The Belfry, reiterating at the same time that the game is coming in 2024.
It's also now been revealed that Towerborne will show up at Gamescom 2024 in late August, which means we're assuming a release date will be announced in a couple of months' time. All being well, we should be getting a chance to play it on Xbox Game Pass in the not too distant future!
If you haven't been keeping up, here's more information about what to expect from Towerborne:
"The Belfry stands as a beacon of hope and safety amongst the ruins of humanity and the City of Numbers, with monsters lurking right outside the tower’s walls. You are an Ace, born anew from the spirit realm with the skills, the grit, and the determination to protect the people of the Belfry."
