Capcom has announced a major milestone for its recent open-world RPG Dragon's Dogma 2. The current-gen title, which launched in late March for Xbox Series X|S, has now surpassed 3 million players across all platforms.
Capcom's first $70 title has managed this number in just about two months on the market, which seems quite impressive to us given that it's current-gen-only and costs $70. Dragon's Dogma 2 also dodged any sort of subscription service release, meaning the vast majority of this player count should equate to full game sales as well.
We're not surprised though, to be honest. There was loads of hype behind DD2 after more than a decade of waiting since the original - and the sequel shot to the top of the Xbox sales charts shortly after launch in early April. Congrats to the team over at Capcom for delivering another hit!
We certainly liked our time with the team's massive RPG on release. It managed to pull in an "Outstanding" 10/10 rating here at Pure Xbox, and if you'd like to read our full review, check out the link to that down below.
