Following yesterday's report on XDefiant, Ubisoft has officially confirmed that the game's server stress test will take place on Xbox this weekend! The team's pre-release test starts at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST on Friday, April 19th.
What's more, you can actually download the 'Server Test Session' file right now on Xbox Series X and S ahead of its launch. Simply search 'XDefiant' on your console and the Server Test Session should pop up for install.
"To play the Server Test Session, just search for XDefiant - Server Test Session and download the game from the Microsoft store."
"If you played an XDefiant test before and kept the game in your library, that is a different "product" just called XDefiant. Keep it as it will eventually be the final launch product. In addition, if you still have the Closed Beta build, this one will have a grey icon and is expired, you can delete it."
On Xbox Series X, the game's file size clocks in at just shy of 30GB - not too bad these days, all things considered. As you can see in the above tweet there, this test will run until April 21st (longer than the team's initial plan of a 12-hour session), and it'll once again finish at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST.
When Ubisoft first announced its intention for this server stress test, it said that the game's full launch date will quickly follow, so hopefully we're not too far away from news on that. It's been a tough development path for XDefiant, but the light at the end of the tunnel seems to be sneaking into view.
