Ubisoft's 80s-inspired FPS spin-off Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is well over a decade old at this point, and it never got a physical release on either Xbox 360 or Xbox One at launch. Well, Limited Run has now come along and stepped in - creating a couple of new physical editions of the fan-favourite Far Cry title.
Starting April 19th at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST, Far Cry fans can pre-order two new physical editions of Blood Dragon on Xbox. You've got the Standard Edition for $34.99, and the all-encompassing Collector's Edition for $124.99.

The store's totally rad collector's edition contains a bunch of 80s-themed Blood Dragon goodies, including a pair of action figures, a cassette tape-themed USB soundtrack and perhaps most importantly, an actual VHS tape with a bunch of trailers & promo content on it. Take a look at the full package down below:

Alongside these game releases, the team at Limited Run has also put together a bunch of Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon merchandise, and the store's Blood Dragon landing page is well worth a browse if you're keen on adding some Rex Colt merch to your collection.
The estimated shipping dates on all of this stuff varies, with the standard edition of the game expected to start leaving the factory this September, while that jam-packed collector's edition isn't due to ship until February 2025.
So, are you tempted by any of this stuff? Let us know your thoughts on all of it down below.

I wonder if this version comes with fixed looking acceleration. Still busted on PS5 as far as I know.
I'm just glad this isn't a GP article.....
Better than FC3. I'll die on this hill.
Those are quite some special editions! I played it back in the day and didn't really rate it. I started right after FC3, and just didn't like it. It was dark and dull, and the neon gimmick was too much of a gimmick from the pretty grounded FC3. Maybe if I try it again it'll be better?
60fps update on consoles would be cool.
@PhileasFragg Yep, give it another shot albeit on a PC
Don't I own Blood Dragon in a physical three-pack Xbox 360 release?? Yeah "Farcry Compilation" 2, 3, and Blood Dragon. Within that triple-dvd-case has a single disc for Blood Dragon.
This is cool too though.
Probably the only Ubisoft game worth playing for me since it released way back should just make a full game of it really it would definitely sell
Loved this game. Played through it a few times on my 360 and just bought the upgraded version and finished it a couple months back. And as much as I would enjoy adding a physical version of this to my collection, I just don’t have the space for more physical media. I stopped buying physical copies of music, movies/tv, and games a few years back. I’m looking to unload a lot of the physical media I already own, not add more.
Still, a very cool physical release from Limited Run.
Didn't expect to ever see this happen! Loved Blood Dragon back in the day. That Collectors Edition is pretty impressive. I'm tempted..
@Kezelpaso It actually did get a physical release technically. https://www.ebay.ca/itm/386796602092?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=706-89093-2056-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=386796602092&targetid=1659316980137&device=m&mktype=pla&googleloc=1002300&poi=&campaignid=17288923165&mkgroupid=135230546845&rlsatarget=pla-1659316980137&abcId=9300873&merchantid=10252592&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwrIixBhBbEiwACEqDJUNS7mVDlj76pBL_5KcqpWB0ynihqHwS7B2mxUgxhYknzhsi8UqBMRoC7dYQAvD_BwE
@Lup
I honestly have forgotten so much about both games, but I love them equally.
FarCry 3 made me a fan. I enjoyed the PC game, Ubisoft's first few FarCry games less.
One thing I dislike about Blood Dragon is the persistent dark red sky. It's dark red, or darker red, and after a while I was sick of it. I get why they did it, but it's still too much.
Blood Dragon has my favorite tutorial of any game ever. It's great. 😄
