Despite Ubisoft not officially announcing a release date prior to launch, Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon Classic Edition is now available on Xbox — and it's set to be included with the Far Cry 6 Season Pass at some point very soon.
There are limited details about the specific enhancements right now, but based on the early footage that's doing the rounds online, we can see that it's certainly a visual improvement compared to the old Xbox 360 version. Unfortunately, it looks like the framerate is still capped at 30fps, even if you're playing on Xbox Series X or Series S.
It seems the game was possibly put onto the Xbox Store a little early, as Far Cry 6 Season Pass owners are suggesting it's still not available to download for them yet. If you want to buy it though, it's available for £11.99 / $14.99.
Don't forget that the Xbox 360 version is backwards compatible and currently on sale for £2.99 / $4.49, too.

"Welcome to an 80s vision of the future taking place on a bizarre open world island crawling with evil, now on the current generation of consoles. Become Sergeant Rex Colt, a cyber commando. Get the girl, kill the bad guys, save the world."
"Experience updated graphics and gameplay for modern platforms to allow players to experience every cliché of this VHS-era vision of the nuclear future."

They are having a laugh with the 30fps! It's a 360 game for goodness sake!
Ubisoft;
Abusive: Tick
Exploitative: Tick
Lazy: Tick
Has seen revenue increase: Tick
Shame too, because I'd normally snatch up a product like this, but just can't justify funding their business practices.
I got this on PS3 through PS Plus in something like 2014 and finally played it just last week. Quick thoughts/opinion: Presentation is wonderful. Performance is terrible. Gameplay is less than mediocre.
Wow Ubisoft couldn’t even do the bare minimum and make it 60fps
Another game that is backwards compatible already getting a re-release.
Releasing a remaster of a Xbox 360 game in 2021(almost 2022!) and capping the framerate at 30 fps is totally inexcusable! I hope they patch this soon, because there is no reason this should run at anything less than 60 fps.
I was actually a bit excited for this one. Blood Dragon was a lot of fun. But 30 fps? For Christ sake come on! That’s low, even for Ubisoft…
I'm newbie here (and english isn't my mother tongue...), Far Cry Blood Dragon is the best FC imo. Not that long (more or less 10 hours), with a good sci-fi parodic story, it's a great way to discover the franchise.
I really wanted to enjoy this when it was first release, but the neon visuals wow factor soon wore off and I found it quite headache inducing.
I bought and played the Xbox 360 version a couple of months ago and although i enjoyed it somewhat the 30fps and the fact it remained dark all the time and never changed soon bored me.
@oconnoclast I get what you're saying but frankly I doubt it. I mean even Microsoft managed to pull off 60 fps on Far Cry 3, which is even older, and that's without the developer's help.
In the end it's just Ubisoft being Ubisoft I guess!
30fps? What's the point of this "remaster?"
