Xbox Game Pass Suffers Rare 'Cancellation' Due To Change Of Publisher

Ahh *****, here we go again

it's not the first and it will not be the last go rewatch each time microsoft announced something to come on gamepass and it never did i got couple in mind the entire lol(league of legend) games was announced a while back we never heard of it, there others indies games WHO NEVER SHOWN UP but announced for day one gamepass release, gamepass was a bullet proof for microsoft to create hype and engagement in their service.

It says there's a trailer above, but I went up and didn't see any trailers.

@Kalele Microsoft announced a collaboration with Riot that gave everyone full access to all heroes on LoL and Wild Rift, and various perks on the spin-offs. Those did happen, and are still happening right now. It's crossed wires if you think they announced the League Of Legends console release through Game Pass.

Generally, announcements are that games have been optioned by Microsoft and are LIKELY to appear on Game Pass if something doesn't go wrong, like, well, above.

99% of times, those releases do happen, and they have their time. If a company moves the release later and later then goes 'Umm... Nope, we're not releasing on XBOX', it's not Microsoft's fault that release didn't happen.

Dumb decision. This was the perfect type of game for GP. I was excited to give it a go but there is 0 chance I'm paying for this game.

@ShadowofTwilight The implication of my comment is very clearly that I beleive people will not buy the game. Given that might just be me but when was the last time a b tier stealth game did well? Why would someone pay for this when genre highlights like Assassin's Creed, Dishonored, and Hitman are frequently on subscription services or deeply discounted?

If they don't buy it on Xbox then oh well, I'm sure it'll find a home on PC and other platforms.

I hope that any money that had exchanged hands to secure this Game Pass release was returned.

@ShadowofTwilight Game Pass is on PC and PS Plus also has ample popular stealth options. Most people only buy a couple of AAA games each year so I think subscription services are a smart move for AA games especially for somewhat niche genres.

@GamingFan4Lyf They'll probably switch it out for something else. Raw Fury's had a pretty long relationship with MS for Game Pass games so it's pretty unlikely they won't have come to some alternative agreement.

Would've checked this game out on gamepass in between big titles but seeing as I'll be spending my money on guaranteed bangers, this will be a hell nah for me. Too bad, best of luck.

Don't need it but I could go for an interesting game from Xbox for once.

@ShadowofTwilight how did gamepass ruin physical games? That was done with digital years before gamepass because it's just easier and more convenient. I used to be hard core game collector but I rarely replay old games especially if I've 100% them which is why I'm fine with digital and I love gamepass. It was fun going to midnight releases and stuff like that but it's just so much easier to pre install and play right at release time. I have hundreds of game boxes collecting dust and it's been extremely rare that I'll dig one out, there's too many new games I spend my time on. How anyone can think gamepass is bad is just baffling to me

It has absolutely helped lead to the death of it. Spencer is on record as stating that Game Pass has damaged sales on the Xbox platform and that they've gotten lower and lower due to people being offended at the prospect of now buying games.

I despise Game Pass yep, find it baffling there's a whole ecosystem stunned that publishers avoid it when they equally don't buy games anymore.

I for get what game it was or where I had purchased it Walmart Amazon Best buy one of them but I did not play right away i was finishing a nother game I started but a few weeks later I do remember how pissed I was when I finally opened the case to play it and in the game case there was a code for the game no disk was like even some movie dvd give a code with the disc not just the code WTH I'll buy disc copy and a second copy digitally if I really like a game less DMG to fiscal copy I collect games as well but some games that's a thing of the past and not happy with it's current direction

*****, before reading any headlines or anything I saw the image and for a fraction of a second I was dreaming about a Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver remake.

Kinda like that feeling of waking up on a Monday morning thinking it's still the weekend for a sec.

@Kalele I made a account just to say, no they never said all League of Legends games will be on gamepass not once they only said Runeterra, Team Fight Tactics and League of Legends will be on pc gamepass with bonuses if you link Gamepass to your Riot account, they never once said they were gonna put the other games on there, and Ereban is the first game ever to not come to Gamepass after it was said it was, you clearly don't know/remember anything to be commenting

i must have dream to see a xbox summer event where they announced all their games were coming to gamepass, i'm sure i did see this but hey i maybe wrong it would not be the first time but i'm sure i saw it couple years ago i was like wtf all lol games and heroes going to gamepass!
