Microsoft has revealed more titles coming to Xbox Game Pass in March 2024, including Control Ultimate Edition and the SpongeBob remaster! Don't forget Diablo 4 and others are already penned in for late March as well.
Earlier today, we kicked off this month's Game Pass lineup with the addition of Warhammer 40k: Boltgun. You can read our review of the game elsewhere on Pure Xbox (see below), and it's available to download right now.
Here's the full list of titles coming to Xbox Game Pass from March 7th to March 19th:

Along with these, we'll be losing three games from Xbox Game Pass in mid-March, with the biggest arguably being Ni No Kuni: Wrath Of The White Witch Remastered. All three games will depart the service on March 15th.

Dang, I just recently bought control UE. I also own NMH 3 but never played it. I'll definitely be checking out SpongeBob and diablo 4.

Lightyear Frontier didn't release already? I feel like I've been advertised this game coming to GP like literally a million times in the past year. I assumed it had already happened.
Control’s getting a second round, huh? 10/10 game, but otherwise that is a truly weak line-up. Hopefully that Xbox line-up beefs up soon. Right now, my Xbox playtime is still in the single digits. I’m going to let my sub lapse next month and re-up when Avowed comes out at this rate.
If I remember correctly Control Standard Edition has been on the service before right? But the Ultimate Edition is a good add. Will wait for Remedy to get back the rights in 2025 and buy it for PC then.
Very good for me nearly finished Alan wake 2 so will jump on control after that as they are sort of connected I hear I was going to buy it so saves me the money now and my daughter will love paw patrol world hopefully it will get her off goat simulator 3 ha

Good to see Control back on, and the Ultimate edition too with the extra stuff. Damn good game.
Spongebob may be good for a bit of fun platforming.
What an excellent month. Two games for my kiddo and four for me that I wanted to eventually play. Awesome that Control is the Ultimate edition with all the dlc. And the newest edition of MLB The Show is always a win
I got SpongeBob a while back on Steam but never beat it cause I don’t really like being glued to my PC for single-player games. Very happy I can beat it on my TV now without double dipping.
I got Control for free on Epic and GoG but same case, I’d much rather play it on my living room sofa with my big TV. Good month for me.
I really want to try Lightyear Frontier. It looks like the type of game you can chill out to. Currently unsubbed to GP though and not really interested in anything else this month so might just buy it on Steam if it runs well on the Deck.

I played it on Switch (when it was a timed-exclusive), but I will surely replay it on GP.

@HarmanSmith I have never played a NMH game. Does 3 require knowledge of 1 and 2 or stand well on its own?
It is the only game I'm thinking I will try from this batch, although Feb added a lot to my backlog, so not complaining.
Holy cow, I was just about to purchase NMH3 on sale about a week ago and decided against it at the very last minute. I noticed it was constantly going on sale and thought maybe later I'd get a better price. Once again GP comes to the rescue
@RentedPanda IMO, it stands well on its own. In fact, it was my first No More Heroes game.
I have yet to pay the full saga (1&2 and Travis Strikes Again are on my backlog) so I really don't know if I did lose something of the lore. But, I'll say it is a good starting point for the franchise.
i wonder if my saves from my physical copy of control i had a while back (but sold) will magically reappear....? (feel free to answer, anyone who knows )
@rustyduck And I believe Control Ultimate edition allows you to shoot things like bad guys…
As I said in January and February: Gamepass is killing it in 2024 … and this is after a great 2023 … still ABK stuff and others to come…
BTW Return to Grace has a great story … check it out if you like scifi…

I'm liking the cycling of titles on Gamepass. It's like Netflix. Play/watch what is interesting and there's chance departing titles could return.

@rustyduck cool, hopefully that will serve until the next batch is announced, and brings new hope. As others have said, Control has [really fun] shooting along with the various powers, but not sure if it's what you're looking for.
For shooters, I'm hoping for El Paso Elsewhere (I think). I've heard it is great, but hard, so I'd rather wait to see if it shows up than buy it and find it is not for me
No more heroes 3 it’s an amazing game! And artbook in the deluxe edition is worth every penny (Even if it is an app) try it on game pass but I asure you you will want to own it (maybe i’m just a hopeless Suda 51 fan) nothing for me on this Batch… since I already own control too, but those games on a service that already has Persona 3 on it really gives it value. Keep the good games coming!

@cardcrusher29 they don't bring departing titles back often enough. Like Mad Max or Tomb Raider, or even Tails Noir

@Mindurbiniss You're right. It's not as often as we like. It's still a nice start to cycle the like of Maneater, Outer Wilds. Control, and others. Hopefully the trend continues.
