A new rumour doing the rounds suggests that Monster Hunter Wilds, Capcom's next mainline Monster Hunter title, is set for a Q1 2025 launch - and it'll apparently be "the biggest game they [Capcom] ever attempted".
That's according to 'Dusk Golem' at least, the prominent leaker behind a recent 'Resident Evil 9' open world rumour. The well-known leaker has now posted a bunch of info about the upcoming Monster Hunter game to their Discord server - a summary of which we'll drop down below (thanks, VGC).
As you can see, it sounds like Capcom has been working on Wilds in some capacity since Monster Hunter: World launched in 2019 - making the development period on MH: Wilds roughly six years if the game arrives in early 2025. The leaker also claims that the Japanese developer is "going all out" with the "fully open world" Monster Hunter title.
For now all of this info is just rumour, so it's best to move forward with the expectation that lots of these details could change in the coming months. 'Dusk Golem' seems confident in the game's development timeline though, claiming that "even GTA 6" wouldn't cause Capcom to delay the title.
