A new March update for Halo Infinite is just around the corner, and it's a "major" one from 343 Industries!
The team has pulled back the curtain on what to expect today, which includes the particularly important feature of a networking overhaul across all modes, which is expected to "result in a better and more consistent multiplayer experience".
Elsewhere, a new Easy Anti-Cheat model will be implemented to improve 343's ability to deal with cheaters, Squad Battle will be getting a refresh with seven new maps, various weapons are getting a tune-up, and a new mode will arrive in the form of "Firefight Custom" which is essentially Firefight without the "King of the Hill" part.
In addition to this there will be lots of stability improvements, and Forge will be getting a bunch of bug fixes too.
"A major new update is dropping feet-first into Halo Infinite this coming Tuesday, March 19, delivering on some of the biggest requests from the community.
Networking overhaul, weapon balance tunings, bug fixes, stability, and anti-cheat improvements, Firefight Custom, and more..."
You can find out more information about all of these features over at the official Halo Infinite blog, and as mentioned above, the March update for Halo Infinite will roll out to Xbox and PC on Tuesday, March 19th.
Looking forward to anything here in particular? Let us know down in the comments section below.

If the network overhaul to fix the issues that have been present since 2022 is similar to what we tested in the flight I don't have much hope. It helped some, but both my Series Xs still showed wildly different things at the same time due to the awful desync.
That being said, Squad Battle update will be nice. IMO that is THE PVP mode to play on Halo.
Halo died after Halo 3 in my opinion. I wouldn't waste a minute on infinite. It's garbage.
I have been loving Halo Infinite lately. Amazing game.
Biggest requests split screen couch co op
And campaign dlc ?
The campaign was a pain and the multiplayer is just not what halo was back in the day would rather play halo 5
Keep up the great work 343
Finally tried Infinite and put it down after 5 or so games. Felt more like some eSport FPS with some Halo things thrown in rather than Halo. Can't even take comfort in the MCC since like any older multiplayer game, the majority of people only play certain Game Modes.
Nice. More squad battle maps is long overdue.
Good thing I don't have work that day.
Halo Infinite is so much fun I actually deleted it the other day because it stops me from playing other games I bought.
@ScoTTieDLighT Halo is better than ever
@ScoTTieDLighT yup just like after gears 3 as well
@Ricky-Spanish 4 is way better than 5 and infinite
@TheSimulator This I agree with also just like when gears was good on 360 there hasn't been a great halo or gears game since the 360 era they have had alright games but nothing top notch imo
@Ricky-Spanish me Personally wish they kept the original squad and this new generation left for the judgment series because it would’ve shown we still want Marcus at his best not an old man … ps and Nintendo still keep the remaining face of the biggest franchises why can’t Xbox do the same they even tried to push master chief off in type 5th instalment
@TheSimulator Yeah I think since the coalition took over gears has gone downhill for the campaign anyways and the lack of gears games is disgraceful for being an Xbox exclusive I mean even tactics should of got a sequel by now or even god forbid dlc
I love the game, but MP definitely still has a cheating problem.
Will this mean that the gravity hammer is gonna go back to normal? I'm tired of bonking dudes on the forehead and not even draining their shields, yet when they do the same, they cross-map my team along with erasing my entire family's lineage.
But hey, at least no more getting shot behind corners!!
Honestly I did read the fixes as my main hope for the game not think will ever happen. Haven't played it in long, long time.
My main want is for a dedicated Big Team Battle that is Deathmatch mode only as absolutely despise any Halo objective based gameplay mode. The last game that had this was Halo 4 and I played that for hundreds of hours. To this day still think the best Halo multiplayer ever played. Many not agree with that. But I absolutely LOVED Halo 4 Big Team Battle.
