A couple of years ago, we reviewed the excellent GameSir X2 Pro Mobile Game Controller for Xbox Cloud Gaming and Xbox Remote Play, and it was such an impressive product that we're still using it regularly to this day.
So, we're definitely interested in the GameSir X2s Type-C Mobile Controller, which not only includes some really cool features for an xCloud device, but it's also retailing for cheaper than the X2 Pro was back in 2022.
The key features here include Hall Effect Triggers and Sticks (helping to eliminate analog stick drift), a movable Type-C port for connecting directly to your phone without the need for Bluetooth, a Turbo function for "faster firing without latency", a capture button for your screenshots, and customisation support via the GameSir app on Android.
Better yet, this X2s model is supremely adaptable to a wide range of devices, with no width restrictions (and a 110mm to 168mm restriction in length) along with support for Android and iPhone 15 series phones.
We haven't had a chance to go hands-on with this yet, but we're liking what we're seeing! It's available right now on on Amazon for just £49.99 in the UK and $45.99 in the US, which seems very reasonable to us at first glance.

You can find more details about the GameSir X2s Type-C Mobile Controller down below.
"With Hall Effect sticks and triggers, this innovative controller ensures ultimate accuracy and precision, eliminating stick drift and extending button lifespan. Users can immerse themselves in AAA games anytime, anywhere, and indulge in a console-like gaming adventure with a seamless connection.
Universal compatibility is at the core of the X2s Type-C, ensuring seamless integration with iPhone 15 series and Android phones. The controller's enhanced compatibility, coupled with its adaptability to various phone sizes (ranging from 110mm to 168mm in length, with no width restrictions), makes it an ideal companion for a wide range of devices."

They always have the ugliest colours for their fantastic controllers.
"nostalgic & retro, inspired by the Nintendo 2DS"
Excuse me whilst I turn into dust.
I've been after a new mobile controller for a while now after my Kishi died, so I might just look into getting this.
That's actually a decent price. But does it feel nice? I got a razer kishi and the buttons feel terrible.
And is there a PlayStation version? I just like the ◯ ╳ ▢ △ better
@PartyMarty I like my kishi, I’ll be upgrading this year and need one that supports type-c. This color ain’t it for me tho. For a mobile controller at least.
So this doesn’t support any other iPhone other than 15? If so it’s no good for me. I’ve been seeing this other controller that’s like this called Backbone but don’t think it has Hall effects stick though.
Whew, that is ugly. I like the older black one much better. Better yet is their Gallileo controller shown here:

Recommend looking at the GameSir Galileo G8. The controller grips are very similar to an Xbox controller and as such it’s very comfortable to use. It’s larger, which is a consideration for travel, but very nice to use.
Something like a Backbone is great for portability, but can be cramped in use for longer sessions.
@IssaBrvndo Yeah I would imagine they will come out with less crazy colours for this in the future.
why that horrible squared shape though ? looks wildly uncomfortable
