After leaving Microsoft and Bethesda's Japanese studio Tango Gameworks a year ago, legendary game designer Shinji Mikami appears to have set up a new company.
According to the official Shadows of the Damned Hella Remastered website, after departing Tango Gameworks, Mikami established 'KAMUY'. Further information about this company has not been shared.
Mikami is listed on the Shadows of the Damned website under the "creators" section alongside Grasshopper Manufacture's founder Goichi "Suda51" Suda (No More Heroes) and Q Hayashida (Shadows of the Damned). He's also best known as the creator of Resident Evil and has worked on other series like The Evil Within.
When he left Tango Gameworks last year, Mikami asked fans to continue to show their support for the Japanese developer and reassured them the studio was in the capable hands of the younger generation.
If we hear any relevant updates about Mikami's new company, we'll let you know.
