It's been just over a year since Ken Levine & co. unveiled Judas, a new narrative FPS that certainly wears its BioShock inspirations on its sleeve. We've not really seen or heard much on the game since, but last night's State of Play showcase delivered its first story trailer - and it looks like we're in for a treat with this one.
Coming to Xbox Series X|S sometime soon, Judas takes what we know and love about BioShock, puts an even bigger emphasis on story - and throws the whole thing into space. Sound like fun? Here's a bit more about what Judas is going for, straight from Levine himself:
"We wanted to craft an experience where these decisions and how the story unfolds is up to you. Because you, as Judas, are the driver of every event in a story with a new cast of characters to get to know — and change — in ways you haven’t experienced before in our games.
In Judas, we give you a whole new world to explore: the corridors of the Mayflower, a spacefaring city whose citizens are trained to spy on one another and tear each other apart for the slightest offense. Where machines control every aspect of business, art, and government. The ship’s leaders tried to turn you into something you’re not: a model citizen. And you sparked a devastating revolution to tear it all down."
As we previously alluded to, Judas doesn't have a proper release date yet, and the BioShock creator is known for taking his time with things so it's best to be patient here. The game is a current-gen-only affair though, and we're excited to see what Ghost Story Games can muster up on modern hardware.
