Bethesda's Todd Howard is an industry legend, and although he recently launched a new (and massive) IP, even he's had moments where he's been a tad nervous.
In case you missed it, during the latest Xbox Developer Direct broadcast, Howard reflected on when he originally pitched Indiana Jones and the Great Circle to Lucasfilm, admitting he was just "a little bit nervous" simply because it's a huge and highly respected franchise.
Fortunately, Lucasfilm's response, and the whole experience in general, have been "overwhelmingly positive".
Todd Howard on working with Lucasfilm: "That excitement has bled through the whole project and they have just been so trusting and supportive of everything that we want to do with the game..."
In the latest broadcast, the executive producer also mentioned how he's been a lifelong fan and reiterated how he's been wanting to make this game forever - with most of the idea fleshed out in his head for some time now and then assigning the ideal studio to make this game, being MachineGames.
The good news for Todd (and Xbox gamers) is his Indiana Jones adventure will finally arrive later this year on Xbox Series X|S, PC and Game Pass. It's set right in between Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade, too.
