When Taxi Life: A City Simulator was first revealed back in November, we immediately penned it as one of the potential unlikely hits of 2024, especially considering the original trailer racked up over 1 million views on YouTube alone.
At the time, it was dated for February 2024, but now it's been pushed back to March 7th, 2024. That's the official date for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PS5 and PC, and pre-orders officially begin today on the Xbox Store and beyond.
If you do decide to pre-order Taxi Life: A City Simulator for Xbox, you'll get access to a unique "vintage convertible model car" as seen in the trailer above, and there's also a special Supporters Edition with additional content if you're interested. The price starts at £34.99 / $39.99 for the standard version.

As for the game itself, it's being developed by the team behind Train Life: A Railway Simulator, and it's described as "halfway between a simulation and a management game", allowing you to manage your own taxi business while also taking on the role of a driver, transporting passengers across a 286-mile, 1:1 scale "large area" of Barcelona.
We'll throw more details below, and you can look out for Taxi Life: A City Simulator on Xbox in March.
"Climb into the driver's seat of your car and your business, transport passengers across Barcelona and grow your company! After arriving in Barcelona with nothing but a car and a dream, drive around the busy streets of the famous city and transport passengers while offering them impeccable service.
You will need to follow the rules of the road; deal with impatient tourists, changing weather and rush hours; adapt your routes to avoid traffic jams and accidents; and, most of all, ensure your clients are pleased with your service to earn the best ratings and the most generous tips!"

Actually sounds a lot of fun and something which could be expanded into other places in the world aswell.
It's a shame it's a full price release as I'd love to have a dabble on Game Pass with it rather than buying up front. Police Simulator is one I'd like to try too.
This looks pretty good.
I'll probably pick this up when it's sub 10-15 bucks but this looks awesome.
Must be amazing for brazilian natives, I know it was for me when Odyssey came out.
Hmmm… Crazy Taxi without the “crazy”… I kind of like the idea… if the driving mechanics feel good enough (ideally a bit arcade and not too sim) I might be interested.
This might sound crazy but I wanted a “drive around town for leisure” game forever… something without racing, without stress… although never could think how such a game would really be a game. Being a taxi driver sounds like the perfect way!
I may buy this, it looks really good. A relaxing game.
