We're now less than a month away from the long-awaited release of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, and a few lucky critics have been going hands-on with it as part of a recent preview event.
So far, the reception has been mixed. We've seen plenty of people who have really enjoyed their time with Kill The Justice League so far, but others haven't been so complementary - IGN simply "didn't like" what they played of it.
It's a pretty interesting selection of previews then, and here are a few to check out for yourself:
GamesRadar
"With its kinetic traversal systems and joyful, colorful chaos, it's a total juxtaposition to the games that came before. Don't let that put you off, though – this is one anti-hero shooter that dares you to have an absurdly good time, and more than follows through on the promise."
IGN
"I’m left worried about the final product coming together in a way that works. The fun just wasn’t there for me. At least not yet."
PCGamesN
"With less than a month to go, I’m optimistic about Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s chances, even if it’s wildly different to Rocksteady’s Arkham series. Each character with vastly different play styles gives some much-needed variety, and what I played impressed me so much that I haven’t stopped thinking about it."
GameSpot
"It's clear what Rocksteady is attempting is ambitious and there are things about it that work well, but a snapshot look at the game wasn't enough to get the hang of its systems or see whether it can eventually balance all of the elements that feel, on first blush, like they pull Suicide Squad in different directions."
So, as things stand we're not sure what to expect from Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League when it arrives for Xbox on February 2nd. Will we love it? Will we hate it? This feedback leaves us with more questions than answers!
Fortunately there's not long to wait until we can (hopefully) publish a full review of the game here at Pure Xbox, so we'll try and provide our thoughts as soon as we can. How are you feeling about these previews? Tell us below!
