Wow, so quick! Guess I’ll have to play the first one soon. Both look amazing.
This will be my GOTY. I can feel it!
Hell (pun intended) yeah!
After Alan Wake II (which released last year), this is my most waited game!
I am excited to see all the acquisitions pay off! After waiting years for top tier exclusives, I think it will finally start to pay off being an Xbox fan
@BIG3 I have a strong feeling too
@GhanaViking finally the dark kinect days are behind us 😆
Glad to see it’s coming soon. I just started playing the first one. Plenty of time to beat it by then!
Looks good, a graphical show piece. I wasn’t a big fan of the first game but I’ll give this some time, looks improved.
for anyone wanting a physical copy bad news it’s been confirmed to be digital only
Not thrilled that it is digital only and roughly the same length as the first one. I was hoping it would be a little longer. Hopefully once I'm playing it I will get into it and it will win me over like the first one.
I am looking forward to this - I enjoyed Hellblade and I think Senua is a really compelling character. How much of this is all just happening in her crazy head?
Digital only release. Microsoft really pushing for an all digital future and I’m not thrilled about it.
$49.99, digital only and 6-8 hours.
Its a shame its a short experience, especially as a lot of it looks like story rather than play, but its a technical showcase for sure..
@FatalBubbles But a big incentive for Game Pass and it will drop in price, be on sale at some point.
$49.99 or 'GP:Ultimate' for $15 a month and if you 'choose' to keep subscribing, here's some great games coming this year - Avowed, AVA, Indy etc...
And 'Physical' release is really just the 'Series X' owners who 'choose' to buy Physical to sell to - everyone else, Series S, PC/Steam are all-digital purchasers and I bet a lot of Series X owners will play it via Game Pass than pay $50 for it. Essentially adding extra 'cost' of printing/manufacturing/distribution etc costs that gets pushed on to you the customer for a 'diminishing' return as fewer purchasers exist for Physical. Maybe they feel this will not be a big enough 'seller' to justify the costs of producing discs for those 'few' Series X owners interested in buying it Physically day 1....
@BAMozzy I was just reporting what I saw, I have no strong feelings about any of it. Like you mentioned, it’s a nice push for GamePass, which is how I will play it.
4 hour one and done game. Let's y'all keep that energy 🙂
Is it a walking sim ?
@TheSimulator That would be Death Stranding.
Seriously though, the first Hellblade was more of a puzzle game with some combat in it. The regular enemies got boring real quick (seemed like they have made good adjustments to combat this time around), however, in the original the bossfights was really well done. What really elevates this game from others in the audio design and the story with an awesome Senua as the centerpiece of it all. Even though I've only played Hellblade ones, it is one of those games I keep bringing up and think about after all these years.
@FatalBubbles Sounds good to me. There's enough 100+ hours games out there with more dropping this year.
This has been my most anticipated game since it was announced, the first was a masterpiece. It definitely looks like it was worth the wait. It releases on my anniversary as well, that day is just meant for wonderful things for me.
It sounds like it’s going to be the perfect length and respect my time, as well. I have GP, but this one will absolutely be a full priced purchase for me, Ninja Theory earns my money.
@BIG3 I couldn’t agree more! I enjoy a nice long game but I love having a tight, well produced experience that respects my time. 6-8 hours of a painstakingly crafted game will always beat out a 100 game full of bloat for me (not to say all 100 hour games are full of bloat).
Like the sound of the length but do need to finally get around to playing the first.
@BIG3 I certainly am over 100 hour games as well. The only thing I’ll say is I’m a little surprised they took five years to make a 6-8 hour game.
@BIG3 I just think Xbox needs to make it on a god of war / assassin creed level of combat like an actual video game you know ? Seems Phil always wants games with a niche rather than giving the mass audience a game they ask for … like scorn was hyped out to be
