Last week, 343 Industries announced it would be ending "Seasons" in Halo Infinite, with this model being replaced by "Content Updates" in the future.
With this in mind, the developer has now put together a compilation video of Season 5: Reckoning - highlighting the many talented players within the community and what they've been able to achieve this season. It's a reminder of just how much skill there still is in this series, and just how far players can push the gameplay.
Here's what 343 had to say in an official post on the game's subreddit recently:

"Seasons are coming to an end in Halo Infinite as they shift to a different approach. There will not be a Season 6. This doesn't mean content is finished for Halo Infinite. January 30th update is simply known as "CU29", as in Content Update 29."
Some of the upcoming content to look forward to in "Content Update 29" (rolling out on January 30th) will include a new Arena map called "Illusion", new Forge features, a free Mark IV armor core and a Halo Wars-themed "Spirit of Fire" Operation.
Earlier this week, 343 also showed off the new arena map, which you can check out in our previous post:

Remember when they boasted this will last 10 years? Lol
@DennisReynolds the actually quote was “It’s really about creating Halo Infinite as the start of the next ten years for Halo and then building that as we go with our fans and community,”
That doesn’t mean Halo Infinite would be supported for 10 years.
Infinite has been a mixed bag though. My hope is that we get a more of Halo Infinite’s direction from a gameplay perspective but some of the monetisation choices need to go. Armor coating and cores are not great for customisation. Forge had been great and the netcode not so much.
Let’s hope Chief’s story is one they actually continue with too.
I wonder what they will do with all the custom items. Will they all be made available somehow? Or will they stay vaulted forever?
Sounds like a good time to wind down and uninstall. It's clear they're looking to monetize this as hard as possible. Being able to "earn" the next season in game has been taken away.
Greed, incompetence are at the heart of 343i.
With Activision-Blizzard now under their umbrella they have so many fps-ip’s. They’re probably consolidating a bit while deciding which ip’s and engines should be on the forefront going forward, and which ip’s are going dormant for a while.
are they going to remove the current seasons or are they here to stay?
@Robocrop_Duster all battle pass content will be available as they always have after a season has finished. Halo’s passes don’t expire but the free track is no longer available without buying the premium version of that season’s pass.
There are a some (maybe one) exceptions like the Winter Update pass always being free.
I guess all the old stuff is going in the store where we can pay real money for fake things that we can't even see.
RIP Halo Infinite.
