Is it us, or does it feel like The Game Awards was forever ago?! It's actually only been a couple of weeks since the big event, during which we were treated to a free shadow drop in the form of the new first-person shooter, The Finals.
Ever since then, the game has continued to prove popular on the Xbox Store, currently sitting in the "Top Free Game" position in the UK and US ahead of the likes of Fortnite and Call of Duty: Warzone. While it probably won't remain in that position forever, it's definitely off to a very impressive start.
We're also starting to see a few outlets publishing reviews for The Finals, with IGN and VideoGamer awarding it a score of 8/10, and Rock, Paper, Shotgun calling it "the most exciting new multiplayer shooter in years".
How about you though? Have you had a chance to try The Finals yet, and if so, what are your thoughts? We've already seen a few people include it in their Pure Xbox Game of the Year vote - is it that good in your eyes? Let us know!
How are you finding The Finals so far on Xbox? Tell us down in the comments section below.

Game's great. Played two consecutive days with the same two dudes and had a great time with it.
They did some marginal improvements over the beta now all that's left is to see if they can add meaningful updates over time.
Like Kaloudz says the only thing that can bring it down is lack of support.
Made up of ex Bad Company devs, it makes me fantasize on what Bad Company 3 could have been.
I'm still confused why the store page says 48 players though when it is 12 max.
I have only played a few rounds but initial impression is good. I think it is more fun than the warzone/apex model.
I don't believe the gaas bubble has burst like many have claimed.
@InterceptorAlpha maybe that's a tournament thing.
4 groups of 4 teams consisting of 3 each.
Factually correct.
@Cherip-the-Ripper Well the 48 players would require them to all be in the same game as that's what the player count on the listing is for.
So if that's the case they must have some maps hidden away be cause no map so far is suitable for that many players.
@BowsersBuddy Web page doesn't load due to adblocker for sites like that. I'll take your word for it though. Really a shame though and misleading. AFAIK no game has listed asynchronous mode player counts like this on Xbox.
The trailer really told me nothing other than lot of shooting and what seems to destructable environments like Battlefield. But I'm not even sure if that impressions are correct?
Would love to play this but there's only so much time in the day/week/month. A lot going on before and during Christmas too.
@BowsersBuddy OK will have look into it more. Usually I'm death match only and despise objective modes. But I absolutely love Battlefield conquest over death match every time. Depends on the gameplay I'm guessing. Halo objective modes are the absolute worst in my thoughts. But others love some halo capture the flag.
Tried 3 matches and got bored. Feels empty/lifeless. Respawning takes too long.
