Earlier on, the official Halo account on social media shared a post seemingly inspired by Rockstar's recent Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer announcement. It teased a "new trailer" on 4th December, and while it's not confirmed just yet what exactly it's for, there's a good chance it's for the new Firefight: King of the Hill mode in Halo Infinite.
This latest Mid-Season Update will drop the day after the trailer (as well as a Firefight deep dive) on 5th December. Firefight: King of the Hill will see you and three other Spartans facing off against waves of Banished baddies as you fight to capture hills across nine different maps. This includes House of the Reckoning from Halo Infinite along with three community-made maps.
Apart from this, this latest update will also add 'Repair Field' - a new neutral piece of equipment that heals allies as well as enemies and vehicles. It also can revive Spartans in select modes. In addition to this, there will be Ranked mode quality-of-life updates, Forge updates, custom game browser updates tied to Firefight and a bunch of stability and network improvements.
You can get the full rundown on the latest Halo Waypoint blog post. Are you looking forward to the next update? Excited about the new trailer? Tell us in the comments.

This'll be the only chance I give Infinite. Did not care with the story/campaigns starting with 4, and from all I've seen of the Multiplayer it looks more concerned with being an eSport than being stupid 'n fun. I'd think it hard to mess this up, but there's only one way to find out.
Infinite gets better and better and I've been very happy investing my time in it.
Yea, I expected it’d be out Tuesday. The week after is too close to the Christmas break.
Looking forward to finally giving firefight a go. I’ve not tried the “unofficial “ variants on custom game browser.
I've been looking forward for this for too long. The unofficial firefight in the customs browser makes a welcome break from the sweat-fest of matchmaking, but there are compromises that stop it being outstanding.
Halo Infinite really is turning out to be one of the best, in my mind.
Since the ranked MM is so bad, I’ve been enjoying a ton of husky raid, excited to rotate this in.
