This game sure is becoming a roller coaster ride, eh? And that's before it's even out! Yep, open world zombie MMO The Day Before is back again with a brand-new Steam release date - roughly 10 months after its developer lost the rights to the game's name back in January.
Well, they have the rights back now (apparently), and a fresh early access launch date. If another major inconvenience manages to avoid this game and its developer, The Day Before will launch into Steam Early Access on December 7th, 2023.
The team is then planning a full 1.0 launch when it's "certain this is the best version of the game possible" - and that 1.0 release will include "the next-gen console version" - if all goes to plan. We'll just have to wait and see, won't we!
It's been more than two years since we first got confirmation of The Day Before for Xbox Series X|S, although the team has since switched over to Unreal Engine 5 mid-development. Will this one ever come to Xbox? Who knows, but it at least has a tentative Steam Early Access release date of December 7th.
What do you make of The Day Before? Does its development feel like a car crash you can't keep your eyes off? Tell us your thoughts down below.

Wasn’t this revealed as a massive scam?
This game looks as impressive as Quantum Error
I cannot wait for this scam game to come out so I can watch all the YouTubers tear it apart.
This whole game seems to have been a bit of a scam throughout it's development.. not sure I'd touch it with a bargepole lol
@Kaloudz countless delays (some of which were blamed on trademark "disputes"), misleading and/or outright bulls**t marketing, an aversion to actually showing gameplay footage, trailers that copy trailers of other games beat for beat, the fact that a big chunk of the development team are unpaid volunteers...
@PartyMarty said they wouldn't touch the game with a barge pole. PartyMarty knows what's up.
