Larian Studios has once again shared an update on the progress of Baldur's Gate 3 for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S today, and it sounds like we could be hearing about a release date very soon - maybe as soon as this week!
In a message posted on Twitter, the company told Xbox fans (and fans of physical media) to prepare themselves for a "formal announcement" - and then also added that it's "going to be a busy week".
"Xbox fans, and fans of physical media, watch this space for a formal announcement. It's going to be a busy week."
It sounds like the Xbox version is finally almost ready to go, then, and it's definitely good timing for awards season - Baldur's Gate 3 has already picked up one "Ultimate Game of the Year" award in 2023, and there are probably many more of those to come! The game is bound to attract even more interest as a result of this over the next few weeks.
