The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will sadly always go down as a major flop, receiving terrible reviews back in May across all platforms, but it might actually be beaten to the "Worst Xbox Game of 2023" crown by one of today's new releases.

Skull Island: Rise of Kong has officially made its debut, and the reaction so far has been horrendous. It's already generating a bunch of attention for its awful graphics and stiff-looking gameplay, as you can see below:

To be fair to Skull Island: Rise of Kong, we haven't seen any reviews yet, but it certainly doesn't look like it's going to score well. We're talking about a £27.99 / $31.99 game here (with a discount) that seemingly only lasts three hours.

You can check out some gameplay footage from the PS5 version up above, in which GameRiot comes to the conclusion that it's a "horrible" effort that definitely isn't worth your money on day one.

It's such a shame to see this happening yet again... this concept had so much potential!
