Microsoft has revealed another five games leaving Xbox Game Pass in the latter part of October 2023, and the selection includes some notable departures including the ever-popular JRPG Persona 5 Royal.
Here's the full list of Xbox Game Pass leavers for October 31st, 2023:
Xbox Game Pass: Leaving Soon (October 31, 2023)
Date | Game | Platform |
October 31 | Gunfire Reborn | Console, PC, Cloud |
October 31 | Kill It With Fire | Console, PC, Cloud |
October 31 | Persona 5 Royal | Console, PC, Cloud |
October 31 | Signalis | Console, PC, Cloud |
October 31 | Solasta: Crown of the Magister | Console, PC, Cloud |
As usual, you'll find that all five of these games will be available with a discount of at least 20% until they're removed from Xbox Game Pass in late October, and some of them may even become available for much cheaper.
Oh, and we have plenty of new titles joining the service for the remaining part of October, including the Dead Space remake just in time for Halloween!

I'm more bothered about Signalis leaving
Signalis needs to jump up my list!
Also worried about Return to Monkey Island and Norco potentially leaving next month
Oh man yeah i'm going to have to get through signalis before it goes, i think i should just about be done with SOMA. I started Persona 5 when it launched on GP and couldn't get through it, fell off around the ship level. I enjoyed it but it just dragged on a bit, plus i'd been really frustrated by one of the bosses that i eventually felt like i beat through luck alone
P5R isn't a huge loss, like the Yakuza games it's a Sega title that will bounce in and out of GP forever.
Gunfire reborn any good? Not know much about this game.
This departure from Persona 5 Royal is bad news. I knew I shouldn't have taken too long to start P5R... I only started playing in mid-September and I'm 63 hours in, and loving the game. Apparently I'm going to have to rush to finish the game before the deadline.
Started P5R but bounced off a bit at times... It seemed good enough but didn't grab me like it has other people I think.
Now Starfield and Forza have most of my attention, I guess I'll buy it if it doesn't come back to Game Pass at some point
Dang P5 is leaving. I only got a couple hours in but enjoyed and have been meaning to go back. With all the other atlus deals I was almost certain it’d stay.
Persona 5 hurts. I was planning to play through it this winter. Guess I’ll just get it whenever it’s on sale and I have the rewards points to get it for free. Too many other games in my backlog to get it for any other reason.
Just buy persona 5
Luckily I already own it on PS but I might get this on discount for Xbox when it hits the 50% mark. To be fair its easily worth £50 as a 120-130 story that is one of the best rated of this and last generation.
@kaiofelipe Yeah you have potentially another 50 - 60 hours left to play. My playtime was 120 hours on Easy mode so.. I would highly recommend getting the game with the leaving discount or try and get a cheap disc version.. 100% worth it.
Feels like gamepass loses value every month.
Bruh...I've been playing P5 since last November and am maybe 20 hours away from the end. This timing isn't great, I won't have much time to eek this one out. This may be the first time I buy a game before it leaves.
P5 is fantastic, I'm actually kind of sad to see it go
@Aeula lost a Persona but got a Like a Dragon.. it is a service where third parties come and go so nothing strange here
@GuyinPA75 I played Gunfire Reborn for a few hours. It was fun, and I like the RPG/Rogue lite leveling, spending points after each run. I am not much for shooters or online play, so I bounced off it, but had fun while it lasted. The actual shooting and gameplay were fun! I recall it was a little rough in terms of text being clear, maybe translation issues, but it isn't a AAA title, and was free on GP, so whatever
Hi there fellow gamers.
Just want to mention that Signalis is an awesome indie game that can be finished around 10 hours more or less depending on how you play the game, wich will also affect the different endings you can get.
It is a very interesting survival horror game with some clearly inspirations from Resident Evil and Sillent Hill and some very unique mechanics and twists along the way.
And make sure you continue the game after you finish it.
It will make sense once you get there, trust me.
Cheers everyone and happy gaming
@RentedPanda Thank you. Touched on everything I wanted to know or warned about. Definitely going give it a try at least.
@Aeula Nah, look at what's joining. We get Like A Dragon: Gaiden as a Day 1 title next month, plus Persona 5 Tactica on the 17th, then Persona 3 Reload in February. Sega have a very strong relationship with Xbox so I'm sure we'll see Persona 5 Royal on GP again at some point.
@NorthwestEagle You've had an entire year to play Persona 5 Royal, hardly a bait and switch. For the long RPG titles, I usually end up buying them so I can play at my own pace. I did that with Dragon Quest 11 after it left GP.
@NorthwestEagle Having an entire year to play a game is somehow "consumer unfriendly"? I think you'll need to defend that position, because frankly I think that is absurd. If I really wanted to play Persona 5 Royal, I would have already done so. Anyone who hasn't, such as myself, just wasn't that interested to begin with.
@NorthwestEagle "There are quite a few people that don't have so much time to invest in a very, very long title"
Then buy the game.
When Microsoft add these 3rd party titles, they sign a contract with the publisher for X amount of time, only 1st party titles stay on there indefinitely.
There is no bait and switch, your accusation is absolutely ridiculous. This is exactly the same way that PS Plus operates, as well as Netflix and Amazon Video. You get stuff for a certain amount of time ,and it's up to you to consume that content before it leaves.
It is not Microsoft's job to sign titles for years and years just because you didn't start a game that you would have had enough time to play 12 times over. If you're invested in a game, you make time for it. I have other commitments beside gaming but the games I REALLY want to play either get bought or I play them as soon as they join Game Pass.
This anti-consumer nonsense is just a smokescreen for people that were never going to play a game that's leaving.
@NorthwestEagle Nice to see you're imaging what emotions I've got writing a comment, just from a piece of text.
If I was actually angry there would have been a lot more fruity language in there. The fact that you've acted so defensively in spite of having absolutely no excuse for not playing a game that's been on Game Pass for entire year just reinforces my point.
And then you've decided to block me, probably because what I said is too close to the truth.
Buy the games you don't have time to play on a subscription instead of writing absurd criticisms of a company that's been very clear on it's 3d party deals for years now.
@GamerMickey1928 The guy's just bitter that team green didn't sign a deal to keep every game on Game Pass in perpetuity apparently. Best to ignore the rambling of foolish people.
@NorthwestEagle If I wanted to create an alt account, I would have used your profile picture and named it "BaldEagle".
