It's been an exciting period for Microsoft and Xbox with the finalisation of the Activision Blizzard (and King) acquisition.
Now, as part of this, Activision Blizzard has released a huge infographic documenting the entire history of both companies, the eventual merger, and joining team Xbox. Throughout it, there are highlights referencing Pitfall, Crash Bandicoot, the beginnings of Warcraft, Call of Duty and even Candy Crush.
It also does a good job highlighting some other franchises like Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, Guitar Hero, Hearthstone, Skylanders and the boom of certain games like World of Warcraft. It's so long, we can't share the whole graphic here, but you can check it out via the Activision Blizzard website.
The company also released another small statement about this exciting new chapter:
"We sure have a lot to celebrate lately. Pumpkin spice season is back, Activision Blizzard joined Team Xbox, and it’s also our birthday month (yes, it would be rude to ask how old we are). As we begin an exciting new chapter in our company’s history, we wanted to look back at some of the major milestones, groundbreaking games, and key moments from the past few decades that defined us. Thank you for helping make so many memories." —The team at Activision Blizzard

Activision does something other than CoD, Overwatch, & WoW so sparsely I have to be reminded they also have make games like Diablo & Crash. Only time I cared about them was the 360 when they made a ton of licensed games and Published the occasional XBLA original, which we'll never see with the end of the BC Program. Just reminds me I want to finish the few remaining Game Pass games I'm interested in to downgrade to Core, before they jack up the price a few more times for old games I already own & projects I won't be able to play on the current console.
So many negative stories, especially about Activision, but the Call of Duty Endowment is on one worth shouting out. Helping over 125,000 veterans into work is a great thing worth shining a light on.
Definitely excited to see Activision under new leadership, they have too many great IP's going to waste. Free from the shackles of needing to please investors with consistent COD sales.
