Last month, Activision confirmed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will feature a full-blown Zombies mode - a first in the history of the Modern Warfare series. We've not seen much of it in action yet, however a new cinematic trailer has delivered a little bit of a setup for this year's Zombies experience.
In the above intro, you can see some familiar faces unleash a bioweapon of sorts - one that raises the dead and turns anything in its path into flesh-eating monsters. Lovely! Anyway, here's how Activision describes the new mode:

"The Zombies experience arrives in the Modern Warfare universe as a team of multi-national Operators assist the members of Task Force 141 against vast undead hordes brought on by a second major enemy threat. Watch the trailer and dig into the lore of this massive, open-world experience launching with Modern Warfare III on November 10."
Sledgehammer Games is at the helm for this year's Call of Duty title - a studio that has delivered plenty of undead goodness in the past. In fact, every single Sledgehammer-led CoD game has featured Zombies in some fashion, from Advanced Warfare right through to Vanguard.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is bringing campaign, multiplayer and Zombies to Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on November 10th. At the time of writing, this one won't be included in Xbox Game Pass as Microsoft continues to figure out its Activision Blizzard acquisition.
Looking forward to some Zombies action this year? Let us know down below!

Indeed, however in my opinion only Treyarch can do Zombies correctly. Personally, the only titles from Sledgehammer Games that I've truly enjoyed were MW3 (2011), AW, and WWII (primarily for its War Mode). Vanguard was quite disappointing.
I can't help but feel for Treyarch, always coming to the rescue and fixing messes created by other studios. With Modern Warfare II lacking content and quality of life improvements, I'm hopeful that Sledgehammer Games can step up. They've already made promising changes to movement, red dots, and other mechanics – a nod to the greatness of Modern Warfare 2 (2009) maps. However, I'll be waiting for a sale, as I personally view this as either DLC for Modern Warfare II or what it should have been in the first place. It's worth noting that Call of Duty wasn't originally planned for this year, but it seems they had to react due to the poor reception of Modern Warfare II.
As for Zombies, the prospect of a 24-player experience has me genuinely intrigued. It could be nothing short of amazing.
Well. I had been curious if this will have 4 player splitscreen.
But the "open world" but tells me all I needed to know. 😭
Zombies in a video game?.. WILD!
I’m not one for the Modern Warfare series having zombies mode but open world was cool on the last Black Ops so it’s cool they’re doing that again.
anyone else remember at the very end of the first or second medal of honor on ps1 they had a zombie or two? the dogs come from moh also. how many of those devs went on to make call of duty?
A Call of Duty game with a zombie mode?! No way!
