The Fable team over at the Xbox-owned Playground Games just a got a little bit stronger over the past few days, as former Baldur's Gate 3 producer Ryan Clark has officially joined the team as a Senior Producer.
Clark made the announcement on LinkedIn earlier this week, where he had the following to say:
"I’m super excited to share I’m starting a new position as Senior Producer at Playground Games! Looking forward to working with everyone."
His role on Baldur's Gate 3 was that of an Animation Producer, and before that he worked as an Associate Producer on multiple FIFA games as well as spending three years at the Asphalt and Disney Speedstorm studio, Gameloft.
It certainly sounds like a great hire for the Fable team, and now we're just waiting patiently for more trailers and information on the game! As for Baldur's Gate 3, we're expecting Larian's incredible RPG to arrive on Xbox very soon.
When do you think we'll hear a lot more about Fable? Let us know down in the comments below.

Amazing News!
Talent like that is always welcomed.
Sounds good to me.
Wonder how far out this game is.
Lol buy them without actually buying them
Way it sounds elder scrolls 6 will be out before fable.
Anybody else feels concerned that this far into development they're still having major staffer changes like this?
@GuyinPA75 I'm thinking the same thing. Though it seems Fable is being built from the ground up (likely using Direct Storage, and other real Next Gen features). Elders Srcolls: 6 will likely be running on existing/modified "Starfield" engine.
Seems like a good fit at that studio with experience in rpg and racing games.
@InterceptorAlpha no I don't think it is any indication of how Fable is developing. The guy seems tailor made for that studio with his blend of RPG and racing game experience. It just seems like a perfect fit for both parties.
I think some people are not understanding his role.
He is a ‘Senior Producer’. There are usually multiple ‘senior producers’ and a few more ‘producers’ and they fall under the Executive Producer(s) who heads up the ‘Production’ side of the game rather than the ‘Design’ side.
It doesn’t mean the game is years from release. It might just mean they are getting an experienced person in to help finalise / refine the game.
His main role will be managing a team and giving advice and direction. And clearly he has good experience in both RPGs and Racing games, which seems a natural fit for both Fable and Forza.
That's a great addition to the team, though I was a touch worried at first as I thought it said Rylan Clark, and that it would end in tears. Lots of of tears... 🤣
not touching this fable
@rustyduck that’s ok… I don’t trust you touching my Fable either….
This is a good sign actually. You finish producing a GOTY game and you start looking for another great game to work on. He obviously thinks Fable is going to be awesome. Bad new for Larian though as talent are moving on and can’t keep them….
@AlwaysPlaying I'm not sure. I'm sure this guy is a really talented guy and allbut for me what made Fable was it's refusal to bow to the conventions of regular western RPGs by concentrating less on tedious stat management and more on building a memorable world full of humour and grace. Now from the trailer it looked like this was the direction Playground are definitely going
There is a reason I still play Fable 2 every year; I think it's the greatest western RPG ever made.
@InterceptorAlpha that's not a major staff change.
