Just a day after we highlighted Xbox's new "Buy Two, Get One Free" offer on select EA games, we've got another promotion offering "Buy One, Get Two Free" this week - and this time it's aimed at Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed series.
In theory this could be a great idea, but it just doesn't seem to represent good value for money to us. For example, if you look at the image above, this offer can be used to purchase Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Odyssey and Origins for £59.99 in the UK - but you could just buy the Assassin's Creed Mythology pack on the Xbox Store instead (which contains all the same games) for only £31.99!
That's not to mention that many of these games often get heavily reduced in the Xbox sales — Assassin's Creed Valhalla's Deluxe Edition is just £18.99 / $19.99 right now, for example — so even when you're getting two games for "free", it's hard to justify adding the standard £59.99 / $59.99 version of Valhalla into the mix!
Still, the offer is there if you want to take advantage of it, and don't forget that a bunch of Assassin's Creed games are entirely free to play on Xbox this weekend with your Xbox Live Gold / Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership, including The Ezio Collection as well as Valhalla. You may as well try them for free before spending any money on them!
