Today's Gamescom Opening Night Live 2023 event was kicked off by none other than Starfield, featuring a live musical performance, an epic new live action trailer, and an appearance by Bethesda's Todd Howard!
You can check out the live action trailer above, set to an orchestral version of Elton John's "Rocket Man".
Here's more information on the trailer:
"Accompanied by a stunning orchestral version of Elton John’s “Rocket Man,” the live action trailer follows our hero on a breathtaking journey through the stars. Experience the hope and danger of setting out into the unknown and get ready for your own adventure when Starfield launches on September 6 on Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC. Play it day one on Game Pass."
As mentioned, we were also treated to a performance from Starfield composer Inon Zur, which you can watch below.
What do you think of the new Starfield live action trailer? Tell us down in the comments.

Very cool trailer. Reminds me of the Bungie Halo live actions. Little close to release but I think it could be very useful to push excitement.
Didnt really get the Stage invaders bigging up GTA 6. Some people just have far too much time on their hands. Lol.
Very cool trailer.
Can I just point out that space is a vacuum, so the gunfire and explosions should be silent. Somebody had to say it.
I got to say to start i said Starfield would be average at best. As couple of years passed an they show more and more i slowly come round little bit at a time. I just watched Starfield the Economy System on YouTube and i am now convinced, Starfield will score 10/10 across board. Check out the vid!!

Big fan of more Starfield, not as big of a fan of this being live action.
@Matthewnh unless the sound we’re hearing is simulating what’s heard from the interior of the hull while the firing mechanisms are active 😉
What a great rendition of "Rocket Man."
I’d just like to see more actual gameplay. They’ve shone a decent amount of like 30 second clips but nothing of substance in terms of cohesive gameplay.
I am really looking forward to Starfield, but I'm still concerned about it's size when it comes to exploring, especially when you are only able to walk or jetpac. I understand there will be plenty of other stuff to keep you occupied like main missions, side missions etc. but will random exploration really be of any benefit on these 1000s of planets? Maybe random events will take place?
No Mans Sky for example... I love that game, but exploration does get boring when you don't really find anything or achieve anything from it.
