Not so long ago, Ubisoft began running a free trial promotion for its 'Ubisoft Plus' service, and now it's back with a brand-new offer. Rather than a 7-day free trial like last time, you can now sign up to get a full month for $1 / £1 / €1.
For those who fancy trying it, this one month of Ubisoft+ on Xbox and PC is available at the introductory price until August 9th - you'll have to sign up for the service by that date to get your first month for $1 / £1 / €1.
The promotion is available via both the Ubisoft Store and the Xbox Store:
- Ubisoft Plus One Month Offer (US) (Ubisoft Store)
- Ubisoft Plus One Month Offer (UK) (Ubisoft Store)
Please note that some external links on this page are affiliate links, which means if you click them and make a purchase we may receive a small percentage of the sale. Please read our FTC Disclosure for more information.
It's worth remembering that if you do sign up to get this discounted first month, subscriptions will auto-renew at full price the following month, so it's best to switch off any auto renewal settings when taking advantage of the offer.
Here's another tip: you can download the games that you want ahead of time with the Xbox mobile app, and then when you decide to use the offer, you can start playing those titles immediately instead of being forced to wait around. That seems a sound strategy if you don't plan on taking up the offer until closer to its August 9th closing date - you'll be good to go the moment it starts!
If you'd like to know what games will be playable during your offer period, we've provided a full list of every Ubisoft Plus title available in the library on Xbox. There are quite a few games in the list (over 60!), so you could certainly get your money's worth out of this offer.
Are you planning on binging some Ubisoft games for a buck? Let us know if you think this is a good offer down below.

Gonna need to be a dollar a month for longer than a month if they expect people to shell out to rent their shovelware.
Fenyx 2 could have been another winner.
But instead they cancel it and make a more "Historically Accurate" Assassin's Creed's by letting you teleport between enemies...
@InterceptorAlpha Yet Ubisoft games tend to sell well and get good reviews. Never understood why people like you are so negative about Ubisoft when their games are good quality and sell well, so people clearly enjoy them.
If you are on about fast travel, you could just choose not to fast travel.
Personally, I really enjoy Ubisoft games and would happily subscribe to Ubisoft+ from time to time.
Offers is probably EU-wide, works in Sweden at least!
I tried to sign up for the free trial a while back but they wanted to try and take a pound out (it may of been less ) for debit card authorisation and as I am completely completely skint I couldn't get it so if I have a spare pound I may take this opportunity to try again but definitely won't be continuing with the service after it runs out unless it's a pound every month
@Lucylu1983 Most of those authorisation systems don't actually take out a pound. It normally just stays pending for a while, or they take a pound and return it straight away.
@Sveakungen I assume it was €1 for you?
Update: Yes, I've just seen confirmation - article updated!
sorry dont even think its worth £1
That's about a buck too much.
I’m still protesting UbiSoft and the high monthly sub… will not play any of their games until they sort it out or include their library to Gamepass.
@aaron626 the last good games I played by Ubi was Farcry 2 and Rayman Legends.
@Lightning720 I’m salty as there is clearly a disconnect between the subscription price they want and the subscription price everyone would be willing to pay. It’s quite a large gap. Their games are good great but not that awesome…
@AlwaysPlaying you say that but they have kept essentially the same price since they launched UPlay+ years ago. If people weren't paying it, they would have changed the price by now. It's pretty clear this price is working for them.
Devil's Advocate time: I didn't see much value on this service because I already owned most the Ubisoft games I cared to play, and their expansions. Add to it that Ubisoft's output has been a bit slow lately.
There is a lot of awesome stuff coming up during this fiscal year, though. I already had decided I'm not buying more Ubisoft games and instead subscribing to this service, but not until games start to show up, mainly: Mirage and Frontiers of Pandora.
I'll simply subscribe, play for that month, and unsubscribe whenever there are no more games or DLC for me to play. I dont need to own these games, I just want to play them, and Ubisoft+ seems like the cheapest way for me to do so.
Bonus points: I will be able to play the games either on PC or on Xbox with cross-progression.
I was going to pay the full amount, but I'll definitively be playing Mirage for a pound, I guess.
Wow Assassin Creed Mirage just got cheaper
@Lightning720 I’m not too sure it is actually working for them now… I have no real data though …. The real test will be how it works for them when their big games hit…
Is it actually worth paying for multiple months vs just buying at discounted price?
@AlwaysPlaying If they have kept essentially the same price for years, it is working. You don't spend resources on a service, expand it to Xbox and cloud play through Luna, and keep the same price if no one is signing up. You'd either change the price or stop the service altogether.
@Utena-mobile According to “howlongtobeat “ 21 hours to finish and 61.5 hours to 100% but I usually take twice that time as I am old and slow
@Lightning720 a lot of people here miss that this is not a new service. This is not Xbox Console version of Ubisoft+. It is just an added feature to Ubisoft+ (that allows play on PC and streaming via Luna) to allow members to also play their games on Xbox.
EA Play is part of Game Pass, but their equivalent to this (EA Play Pro) also costs $15 a month to get all games day one, with DLC, but is only available on PC. EA Play on Console is basically 1 year old games, not exactly that far from some of their older games already being added to Game Pass.
@Lightning720 I am protesting until they do option 3 - lol joining Gamepass- I know I am fighting a losing battle but I have 92 games in my backlog and I can wait them out….
Going to need to be that for a good few months, like the Alpha said. They've just canceled a game, we've not had another Splinter Cell game for 10 years (imagine it on Xbox Series X) and they've hardly got anything good on the service for the price they're saying.
Maybe if they add the new AC and SW Outlaws I'll definitely give it a go.
@Utena-mobile
Off topic, but when you said Bleagh I thought it was a Chris Motionless blegh then xD
Ubisoft are a scammy company. I'm still waiting for a new Splinter Cell game
$1 a month seems correct. No need for this to me a special price.
So does this mean I should save it for when Mirage comes out and use it then to hammer that for a month?
Am I right in saying that the new AC: Mirage is coming to Ubisoft + on Day 1? If so, I hope they keep this €1 offer going until it’s released!
Right, just re-read and saw it ends August 9th. Well, hopefully they decide to continue the promotion for a bit longer.
They're desperate alright
I've already played the games I would play so not really worth it, even for the dollar. I am certainly not paying their ridiculous sub fee.
I want to try Valhalla this might be the time.
It made me smile when, after the headline on the front page, is "Fancy a try of the service? No...", (truncating "Now's a good time")
I thought "That's a bit bias !"
That's a good entry point for anyone who wished to try a Ubi game they have not tried before.
Its unlikely you'll find enough compelling content to want to pay the normal monthly sub, but its a good place to dive in and test a title you had been considering before purchase. Most Ubi games can be picked up with a heavy discount, so simply buying the one or two you want should be cheaper than subbing to the service. This promotion simply means you can try them first..
The thing is that on Xbox you have to essentially pay for the PC version and the Xbox access is an add on for a higher price. Seeing as the amount of games available is around the same as what EA play offers and that is available for £20 a year then Ubisoft Plus looks like a really bad deal if you are just wanting to play on Xbox. There really should be an option to just subscribe to what is available on Xbox and not have it as an extra. So while this deal is good for one month I can't see too many people paying the full price for it after that month.
I woudnt pay a pound that's to much
Even though $18/month is bad for a long period of time, I plan on grabbing a month or two come winter.
Between AC Mirage, The Crew and Avatar, that is easily worth $18 or even $36.
@Zenszulu biggest difference between this and console EA play is that console EA play does not bring games until a year later. UBisoft+ adds all games day one, with all DLC as they are released.
Maybe compared ro game pass, it’s not that great of a deal, but it’s a good deal for anyone that is enough into UBisoft games to want to buy them day one. For those players, it can be huge savings, although ideally not a “subscribe and forget” thing. Just keep subscribed as long as one plays games, unsubscribe whenever one is done.
The 7 day trial didnt even work, i have 0 faith that it will work with this.
And i have 0 patience left with their service desk, so no thanks.
