Soulslikes are all the rage these days, and two of the biggest Xbox Game Pass offerings in the genre are combining later this year. In a new 2023 roadmap posted by the Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty developer Team Ninja, a collaboration with the upcoming Lies of P has been announced.
We don't know the full context of the collab just yet, but to celebrate the launch of Lies of P this September, the two teams are pairing up to deliver some sort of in-game Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty event.

As you can see via the above roadmap, Team Ninja still has lots planned for its recently-released action RPG in the coming months. There's even another crossover planned - although that one is in collaboration with its own PlayStation-exclusive Nioh series.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty has proved a pretty big hit following its launch back in March, and we liked it lots. In fact, our very own PJ O'Reilly scored it an 8/10, calling it "Team Ninja's finest soulslike". Our resident reviewer also went hands-on with the upcoming Lies of P recently - we'll drop those thoughts down below as well.
Will you be taking part in this Wo Long event in September? Let us know if you're digging all of these Game Pass soulslikes down below!

Man September can't come fast enough. It is shaping up to be one of, if not the best month for Game Pass ever.
Starfield, Lies of P, PayDay 3, and Cocoon are all must plays, and we don't even know what the other 6-8 games are going to be for the rest of the month!
I thought Wo Long was horrible. Played it for about three hours. Felt like a poor man's Dark Souls. Lies of P demo felt the same way. Starfield will probably have a stranglehold on me for at least three months. That's GOTY for sure.
@Romans12 I liked both Wo Long and the Lies of P demo, putting far more the 3 hours into each. I'm looking forward to Lies. Starfield as well.

Are there are any other Soulslikes besides these and Sekiro, that emphasize parrying?
@Kaloudz did you play the demo? I enjoyed it but thought it was tough 😅 I like souls games and this one is punishing i feel.
I’ve already pre installed it can’t wait.
@RBRTMNZ have you played The Surge 1 and 2? My favourite soulslikes especially the second game. Very satisfying to play.
@Kaloudz to me it feels more on the hard side of the genre. The parrying window is tight and if you miss it, it will punish you and that’s how the game wants you to play I felt. 😂 the final boss of the demo took me a while to get through. You could summon a little dude to help but I didn’t cause I like suffering.
Elden Ring is easy and I’ve not played Wo Long but usually in these games if you invest enough time you can exploit or over level yourself to get through them.
@Kaloudz Yeah you’ll be able to grind my man. These games are usually as easy as you can make them as long as you have to time to put in.
@Fenbops Those have been on my list for a while. If they are parry based, I definitely need to prioritize them.
@Kaloudz you can grind levels a bit but it's not all that helpful like with dark souls. I think lies of P is going to have hard bosses that you simply have to over come through deaths and learning it's moves rather than being able to over level and over power them. It's got some sekiro inspiration in it in that regard
@Romans12 poor man's dark souls? Wo long is nothing like dark souls. Maybe a poor man's sekiro. In any case it sounds to me like you got clapped at the first boss and decided it was bad from there
