The penultimate Xbox Game Pass arrival of July 2023 has dropped today in the form of Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem, which is a standalone expansion that first released on Xbox consoles back in late 2022.
In the game, you'll make your way through five levels set in a "beautiful and dangerous world", with the goal of tracking down the "traitorous" General Brand. Expect plenty of vehicles, gadgets and weapons to wield along the way!
When it comes to reviews, Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem has a relatively positive Metacritic score of 70 (and a user score of 8.1), while its Steam rating is "Very Positive" based on over 3000 reviews.

Serious Sam 4 was surprisingly fun in Co-op. Will try and get a friend to blast through this with me too. If it’s like 4, then you can turn on infinite ammo etc and just cause mayhem throughout. I hope it is
Just fyi; According to TrueAchievements there is one achievement that doesn’t currently work though the dev said they were going to fix it eventually…

Loved all the SS games and I can't see this Boomer Shooter disappointing either.
Loved SS4 on pc but this SeriesX port has abysmal controls.
The dead zones for aiming are ridiculous. Almost half the thumbstick does nothing and what's worse it has that awful + pattern style dead zone making smooth aiming impossible, it's like your stuck on a grid and diagonals feel terrible. There is no option to change the size of the dead zone at all 😞
UPDATE : Tried on PC using a controller still has the exact same awful deadzone, so it isnt a bad port just bad controller support :_(
It plays absolutely beautifully on mouse and keyboard. Heck it looks like a fun game and I'm looking forward to playing more, just wish it was on my couch on the big telly
I've been meaning to try Serious Sam 4, but my preferred co-op partner is busier than ever sadly. Does this take place before or after the story? (Normally that'd be a weird question, but Serious Sam 4 & 3 both take place before 1, soooo.)
Is Siberian Mayhem running stable at 60fps on the Series X? SS4 was a fun and breezy game I finished in 14 days before it left Gamepass.
