We've got a brand-new feature rolling out to Xbox Insiders in the Alpha Skip-Ahead ring this week, and it's a pretty exciting one if you like the idea of mapping keyboard buttons to your Xbox controller!
The new feature is available exclusively for the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 and Xbox Adaptive Controller, and is being implemented via the Xbox Accessories app. Here's how it works:
"To get started, open the Xbox Accessories app > Configure > create a new profile or edit an existing one > select a button to map > choose Primary or Shift > then move over to the new Key tab.
You can also find this feature in the Xbox Accessories app on your Windows PC by joining the Windows Gaming preview from the Xbox Insider Hub."
For the most part, you can only map one controller button to a single key, however you can also use any combination of modifier keys (Win, Shift, Ctrl and Alt) which means something like Ctrl+Alt+W can still be mapped to one button.
There's more information on the official Xbox Insider website if you're interested, but keep in mind this feature is exclusive to Alpha Skip-Ahead members for now, with a public rollout expected to follow in the coming weeks / months.
Excited for this? Let us know down in the comments section below.

@BeerIsAwesome not everyone is physically capable of using a KBM setup.
@Moonglow I think it will be great if you want to pop up an app. Maybe something like msi afterburner to check framerates
@Moonglow not all mappings are available in a controller limited set of buttons, so if a game accept mixed input (controller + keyboard at the same time) this could help to de clutter actions that are mapped to the same input or map keys that are not available in a controller setup
i can think of one specific game this'd be great for, but I don't have an Elite controller so not much use to me
