We've officially got another kart racing game coming to Xbox! DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing will bring characters from the likes of Shrek, Kung Fu Panda and How To Train Your Dragon to PC & console in the near future.
From the team that worked on Nickelodeon Kart Racers, DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing features four-player split-screen and eight-player online support, and will come priced at £34.99 / $39.99. Some unique gameplay features include magical switches that unlock hidden shortcuts, and Trolls equipped with power-ups and "special surprises".
"Twenty of the most iconic DreamWorks Animation characters take the wheel in the fast-paced world of kart racing in DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing! Shift, drift and jump at high speeds across a variety of fantastical tracks inspired by DreamWorks Animation’s many fan-favourite films."
In addition, the DreamWorks Trolls are getting their own game called DreamWorks Trolls Remix Rescue, which will take the form of a 3D platformer. This is being developed by Brazilian indie studio Petit Fabrik, and will see you going on a "magical journey across the Trolls Kingdom" - complete with local co-op for up to four players. It'll cost £39.99 / $49.99.
"Players will travel across the magical world of Trolls, from Poppy & Branch’s Pop Village - to Barb’s Volcano Rock City and Cooper’s Vibe City, all to stop a melodic mastermind who’s trying to alter the Trolls’ musical harmony forever."
As soon as we get more release date information on these, we'll obviously let you know! Both are being published by GameMill Entertainment, which again is best known for working on multiple Nickelodeon Xbox games in recent years.

I bet it'll be a copy and paste of Nickelodeon Kart Racers, just with different characters and some new items.
I used to be excited for Kart Racers, but now there's just too many low-quality Kart Racers being released.
Finally some good f--king food.
Kart games, farming games and city builders are low hanging fruit … need someone to create a new genre
Are the DreamWorks films and their characters really iconic? Maybe Shrek was back in 2004, but Boss Baby? How to Train Your Dragon? Trolls? Or is just a case of me being an out of touch old man?
No idea if this will be good but at least the characters and vehicles look like themselves unlike another kart racer.
"Quick, we've got an IP we can try to exploit. Anyone know anything about video games? No? We'd better make a kart racer then"
Wow, this Kart Racer inflation is pretty crazy. Feels like we went from not enough Kart Racers to drowning in them in a very short time.
I always welcome good ones though.
@Kaloudz @JoakimZ kart racers and, to a lesser extent, platform fighters.
@Kaloudz Killer Instinct Kart, or Killer Instinct Bros./Brawl?
Microids is doing Smurfs Kart on Xbox soon too. I agree with you all, there's lots of Kart Racers, like 10-20 on Xbox now. Nothing beats Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled. Disney SpeedStorm is LSG gatcha gambling nonsense. I also like the silly one, Garfield Kart, just because I really like the music and cat characters from the comic.
@SAH77777 the Sonic racing games by Sumo Digital are all good, too. Everyone seems to view the second one, Transformed, as the high point in the series. I like Team Sonic Racing, though; more focused with, imo, better designed tracks.
@Kaloudz that is actually weird that Minecraft Kart wasn't MS' first port of call when it started with Minecraft spin-offs. Weird at least that they went with narrative adventure, then dungeon crawler, then a weird RTS thing. Thinking about it more, Minecraft Kart with a robust track-building component surely would have been a licence to print money?
@Markatron84
Yeah, I can see why you like Sonic kart racing series, and although I also own all 3 (All-Star, Transformed, and Team) they aren't my favourite, just because I never got into the SEGA games where the characters came from, and the rock-ish in-game music isn't my favourite. Each to their own! I bet I'm only one of a few that really like Garfield Kart.
Obviously MK8D is the King but I’ve been playing that for so long now that it’s pretty much dead to me even with the current DLC.
Transformed could be argued is the pinnacle. That game was fantastic, up there with Diddy King Racing.
Disney Speedstorm is REALLY good too.
The thing is although I haven’t seen my own two little girls for three years thanks to my wife, I know that they would adore Disney Speedstorm and frankly would adore this Dreamworks game too. To the person who asked how iconic these films are - they are bigger than you think. Where I live in Dubai there is a huge theme park devoted to Dreamworks films. How to Train Your dragon is a huge franchise. My kids love it and there is a massive amount of merrchandise. There is a live action remake coming too - like the Disney ones.
I will certainly pick this up even for myself.
Wake me up when we get Digimon Racing 2.
