Capcom Coy On Future Resident Evil Remakes, But Discussions Are Underway

I just want more (split-screen) co-op like we had in Resident Evil 5.

Please remake Code Veronica in the same style as RE2R. 5 + 6 have the engine from RE4R now and probably will come out in the next 3/4 years.

I really don't want Capcom to become a crap company like Square and focus on remakes all of the time. I like Capcom. Every now and again is fine. Stop listening to these dum-dums who don't want new stuff.

How bout Capcom make a new Resident Evil set in Raccoon City with new characters? Resident Evil 0, 5 and 6 don't need a remake, and Code Veronica was never that good to begin with.

I wish that would happen to these people. I want Superman to put them into a bag and hurl them all into the sun.

It’s still a fun series and I have enjoyed the remakes. It’s just a shame the story itself became so utterly convoluted. Actually, convoluted is a massive understatement.oh well…

I mean, if they're remaking....can we get a do-over on the RE3 Remake?

@somnambulance I think they try to remake a game that is already good enough at least. If you remake a terrible game in a way that needs you to build a completely new game, you could essentially just invest that money into making Resi 9 10 etc right?

@BrilliantBill Halo 1's remake was great. Just a fresh coat of paint over the game. Exactly what I wanted.

RE3 remake was a completely different game that just has the RE3 characters. And not even a good different game at that.

It was truly amazing how bad they dropped the ball on RE3 after how good RE2 was.

Code Veronica, Resident Evil 1, RE0 in that order. Five and Six can wait till PS6, they were not that good to begin with

I’m for the remakes of these games. I respect those who just want Capcom to focus on new games, but these remakes help fund the new games. The remakes don’t cost as much as the newer games. They already have a general idea what they are going to do in terms of characters, story, environments, enemies…. The younger generation do not want to play the old ones with the tank controls. They want pretty graphics and better controls. This is a way to introduce them to the franchise. The remakes sell well and help fund the new RE games. I’m happy they are doing both. It wasn’t that long ago Capcom wasn’t doing well.

I personally want them to remake CV next. Out of all the games in the series, it’s the one that could benefit the most from the remake treatment.
