We always assumed that the Resident Evil 4 Remake would be a big success when it finally arrived, and that's exactly what's happened since its launch last week, with the game officially selling over three million copies in just two days.
Capcom revealed the news in a press release earlier this morning, describing it as a "solid start", and also bringing attention to the many fantastic reviews the game has been getting - we gave it a 10/10 here at Pure Xbox!
"Along with securing high scores on online review sites, the title garnered praise and attention following the release of the Chainsaw Demo, in which players could enjoy the opening of the game, resulting in worldwide sales of the title surpassing 3 million units in the first two days after the game’s release."
The immense success of Resident Evil 4's remake surely means Capcom will be considering even more remakes for the series in the future, although it's not quite as obvious where to go next - we'd love to hear your thoughts about this!
