Update: Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden has since been delayed to February 2024:
Original story: Life is Strange developer Don't Nod first unveiled Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden last year for Xbox Series X|S, and the team is back in 2023 with a fresh look and some release details. Alongside the above trailer, the dev has announced the game's launch date of November 7th, 2023.
As you'd probably expect from this developer, story will be a huge focus for Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, which is aiming to mix the team's narrative focus with new action RPG mechanics. Here's a bit more on what to expect from the title on Xbox Series X and Series S:
"Experience a powerful and intimate narrative in Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, where you play as Antea Duarte and Red mac Raith. You are lovers and Banishers—ghost-hunters who vowed to protect the living from the threat of lingering ghosts and spectres. After Antea has tragically become one of the spirits she loathes, you take on a desperate search for a way to liberate her from her new plight.
Enter the lives of New Eden’s communities in a world plagued with supernatural creatures and ancient secrets. Use your wits or combine Antea’s spiritual powers and Red’s powerful arsenal to defeat and banish the souls that torment the living."

Words can't describe just how much I'm excited to play this! I can already see myself crying over Antea 🤣
If anyone played Detroit Become Human, then this is basically something like that, but with deep gameplay mechanics.
Ok..this one flew uner my radar and it is now one of my most anticipated games of the year.
If it's anything like vampyr or greedfall then I'm 100% in
I like but but my personal backlog is at 94 games atm….
@AlwaysPlaying feel your pain. I might get through mine by 2040. Maybe.
Three Dontnod titles this year… still don’t know what to think about this one, honestly. I love the premise, but the only Dontnod games that have been hits for me have been LiS 1 and 2. Outside that, they’ve had interesting premises with middling results. I’d preorder if I had more faith this couldn’t end up a Twin Mirror. Lol. Sometimes we make bad decisions in preordering games.
Strange... it's a game from the same studio which created Life is strange ??? As usual : vague trailer, few photos (looks like a Dark soul, no ???).
Could be great but... could be a "miss" too....
Wait and see, as usual, with "modern" video games..
@johndoe89 Umm.. they already released a short gameplay/story trailer, not to mention you can find a ton of details on their site. This was just a cutscene from the actual game coupled with the release date announcement.
