Xbox Free Play Days returns today, with just the one free title this weekend. It's a good one though, with Microsoft bringing Remedy's Control to the program from today (Thursday) until Sunday night.
As usual, remember that you'll need Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to take advantage of this Free Play Days offering. As mentioned, Remedy's third-person shooter will be available to play for free until late on June 11th.
If you get stuck into Control this weekend and would like to continue playing after Sunday, the base game is currently 70% off on Xbox as part of the Deals Unlocked Sale. We will say though, the Free Play Days / discounted version is only the old Xbox One edition (which is also backwards compatible on Series X|S). If you want to buy the most recent version, you'll need to look at purchasing Control Ultimate Edition, which sadly isn't on sale right now.
Xbox Free Play Days - How To Download The Game
- Search for Control on the Xbox Store
- Hit the "Install, Included with Gold" or "Free Trial" button
- Play the game!
Will you be trying out Control on Xbox this weekend? Let us know down below.

I never take advantage of the free play days, but I'll jump on this because I missed out on control when it was on gamepass (I got my series s just as it was leaving the service)
@DoctorJohnDisco I've done a couple of hours on it tonight, loving it so far 👍
